throttle curve
I have a throttle curve setup which I can use if desire.... This also has idle up at same time....it brings in the power earlier and allows for a better feel around mid stick where 70% of power is available...- Space Bat

Help! More gas questions
Many thanks Jim...much appreciated.. The servo is something I didn't appreciate and didn't figure in on getting better quality and spending more...but makes sense. I will base my tuning on 1600 idle and try to get as much as I work in bigger props...I can then use the TX to put in a idle up to...- Space Bat

Help! More gas questions
Hi Joe/Jim.... I am getting back into engines/gassers and wonder if 3D flying there are different thought processes involved.... Am currently breaking in an engine...and currently have an idle just under 1600 but the engine has yet to fully break in and needs more work ...is this too low? -...- Space Bat

I was told directly that the cost of manufacture and the electronics and chipsets are more expensive in the FASST/FAASTest systems and that I can't see was a marketing explanation-I have no reason to doubt the Futaba people on this...- Space Bat

The FASST electonics are more expensive the chipsets are much more in price than the chipsets that can be used for FHSS/DSSS and DSM2/DSMX You still see this cost as the clones can't even compete between chipsets and FASST clones are 3-5x more in price than other cloned RX's- Space Bat

Steve - Futaba are going into S-FHSS - which is a S-Bus version on FHSS - this is a market move I guess to fill the void where lost sales are evident due to the higher cost of FASST and FASSTest... I spoke to someone in the know and they say that Futaba are going to ditch the lower end FASST...- Space Bat

The orange rx's are as good as if not better than genuine Spektrum rx's.... I have no issue or problems with them...I no longer fly Spektrum but my mates and my son does...and my son uses orange rx's and even has one in his EF extra...thats how confident we are in them.... Harsh...lol If only my RX's were that cheap ;) - but as have recently got a 'New' TX I only got the 8chan RX that came with it and bought a 6ch to go as a backup and to swap into other planes so can use the new TX ;) :) - over time I will accumulate more RX's but don't see the point in...- Space Bat

Steve, not an expert on model match...but my take and seeing how it works on a DX6i it won't allow you to hot swap RX's into other planes...which means you need to rebind the rx to a differnt model memory...now that is a good thing and a bad thing... I can hot swap out my RX's into different...- Space Bat

Steve the point is not the simplicity of speed v time - its more on the consistency of the legacy/latency and the reaction of the servo - not being a bang on figure you can just take to the FAA - when testing it was obvious that there was a band of time to work with so you had a band of...- Space Bat

Gyro you should know this it's drone 101 ;) or did you skip this bit :tongue: Steve is quite correct with what he is saying - there has to be a servo - tx - rx latency compatibility to get the best and fastest response...
