Hello guys,

I am very happy to share with you all our new design, Myself, Yonatan Segev, and Frank Liu worked in partnership from across the globe to design and produce the next generation of freestyle RC models.

Humungous by name and humungous by nature.

Inspired by WW2 fighters with their large spinners and aggressive yet sleek look, the Segev Design Humungous stands tall and proud.

Design and tested over a 12 month period, by leading Aeronautical engineer Yonatan Segev, the Humungous has been perfected to blend precision flight with extreme aerobatic capability.

It’s gentle flight characteristics make the Humungous an easy to fly plane making it perfect for intermediate pilots honing their skills to all out freestyle aerobatics guns seeking an airframe that gives them a great platform to perform.

Choose from three sizes including:

70†– Electric powered
78†– Electric or gas power
92†– Electric or gas power
Complementing the unique lines of the Humungous are a choice of three colour schemes that have been designed by specialised aircraft design guru Ray Younger.

To achieve the sleek lines of the Humungous a combination of composite materials, balsa and ply have been utilised all covered in quality Oracover.

When quality and performance are high on your list of attributes then you will not be disappointed in the Segev Design Humungous.

I Do ( @ 3dbuster )... Can you tell us what has inspired you to do this radical design/style? It's really not like anything I've really seen other than it has some of the same design characteristics as the bipe you came out with a year or so ago. For instance the tail is very recognizable as a Segev design, etc...

Where will this be available here in the states?

I thought the same thing about the tail and rudder

Hi Mike,

Well the main advantage point for us as we really do "whatever we want" as we decided to never make scale, semi-scale or mashup of other full size designs.
Just like F3A modern designs, the look of the airplane is driven by how we want it to fly, this freedom allow us to design, build and fly excellent airplanes that feel right and are great freestyle platform, which is what type of flying I mostly do.

The rudder, like the shape of the wing tips is unique in its design, as some of the curves and long lines on the tip and bottom of the rudder change where the center of pressure(in simple terms where lift is been generated) and that directly affect the ability of the Homongous to track straight in Knife edge, and achieve extreme abilities of high alpha without the use of other aids like SFG, that are so common in most other airplanes.

The main goal we had in advance, when we started the design process, was to have the biggest spinner in the class, so big that the 92" have a 9" spinner(as big as a full size aircraft spinner) Myself and my brother are fans of the WW2 mechines, and we wanted to give tribute to the lines of the great war planes

The ARTiculate biplane is my personal all time favorite, and I still fly my OS33GT gas powered and electric ARTiculate often, but most people look for an easy to assemble and easy to fly airplane so we decided to start working on the new Humongous over a year ago

Our airplane are imported by RedWingRC, but if you have any question please feel free to contact me or Frank via our website

Cheers :)
