I understand the need to get away from FG, but the one thing I do really like is the sidebar they have that show approximately 20 of the latest forums post. This is a quick way for me to browse the subjects/threads that might interest me without having visit every thread there is. Is is possible, as I see lots of space available on the bottom right side of your page.
Also, any chance of us having signature graphics (small to medium size) or even hyper links.
I also think your main logo would be cool with the circles being more of the front of a cowl and with a spinning prop. I accomplished this on my site with an animated gift. www.evflyers.com
