I've had many different winds of this motor over time, the 683kv, 750kv, 830kv, and 950kv. I currently only have the 830kv and it is WONDERFUL! I spin a 13x6.5 prop on it with 4s power, and it stays cool all day, even at 30+ WOT runs on a hot Vegas day. For me, it produces around 50-55a, but I haven't tested it in San Antonio's lower altitude yet. Very excited to put this motor into a 48" Super Vyper next week... I think it'll be awesome!

i really would like to try one in the super vyper as well. Cant wait for some video on yours Gyro. I was looking for some old footage of me flying my 48 edge exp with the 950 kv version i had.. It had what i call ignorant power hehehehe.. Just insane. Would wad the plane up in KE so hard i had to kill the power for about 4-5 revolutions before i could even get it back out of KE. Scared the devil out of me the first time that happened as I came out kinda low heheheh

I've been running a DM-2820-750kv for just short of a year now, it's a fantastic motor. They are incredibly tough little motors, stronger than about any other motor of this size due to their use of no less than 5 bearings, most other motors of this size have two or three. here are some static test figures I've recorded on my motor:

13x7 Xoar:
983W
64A
15.35V
8910 RPM
Thrust 3.4Kg

13x6.5 APCe
846W
54.8A
15.46V
9570RPM
Thrust: 3Kg

14x7 APCe:
1012W
66A
8760 RPM
15.33V
3.5Kg Thrust

Xoar 14x7
1074W
70.4A
15.26V
8370RPM
3.6Kg Thrust

Test set up was an almost new Gens Ace 2200mAh, 4s, 30c and ESC was 70A ZTW. Altitude was near enough sea level and temperature at time of testing was close to freezing. Those in warmer/higher locations may get significantly lower numbers.

14" props are no longer officially recommended. I managed to damage my motor by repeated WOT KE spins with the heavy 14"x7 APC so you do need to be careful. The 14"x7 Xoar I only ever briefly bench tested as amps were a bit too high for comfort. A Xoar 14x6 might be safe, I'll try one sometime. I'm currently flying the repaired motor with a Xoar 13x7
