I just ordered an PAU Extra 300 SP 50cc. I hope that it will be here Wednesday or Thursday. Wanted to see if everybody wanted a build thread on this Air frame??

Yes you can! Flew mine with a DLE 55, flew just fine. Really enjoyed this plane, only sold it to fund a 42% PAU Extra 300 :)

PAU's 50cc planes are actually designed and intended for 50cc engines like the DA50. Only a few crazy bastards (like me) have put a 70 under the hood. I've flown this plane on a DA60 and the power was absolutely perfect to me, I just like twins.

Damn I'm hungry
I know a "crazy bastard" who put a DA70 and a MTW 75 k in it. (Hi JAY ;)). Only problem is he thinks I'm crazy. Probably a bastard too :D.

Plane flies exceptionally well. His build flew true and straight right of the work bench and in to the air. Only plane I know of so far that the 2-n-1 and single large canister does not cause an issue getting installed.

Sub'dude it will ya!?!?

Well I guess that is that...I will do the build thread. :) I did receive the planes yesterday.

I was very surprised how well packed this Plane was...The wings and the Fuselage were both doubled boxed with pieces of ply wood in between the boxes.. This was one of the few times that UPS delivered a plane and the boxes did not have no damage.

I opened up the boxes to make sure all parts were present and they were, but find some damage to the cowl.

Called and spoke Herve the (The Owner) of PAU. Let him know of the Damage and he asked me to send some pics, since this was not a shipping issue. Hervee said that he would send me out a new cowl today. This is my first PAU and first time I have had to call and speak to someone, but great Customer service.

Here are some pics of the un-boxing of the plane.
