Slimline Mufflers?

Does any one know the story with Slimline mufflers? are they out of business?

tried to look at their website all I see is a directory index. http://www.slimlineproducts.com/



I need a pits muffler for a DA 50 I can still get a new one from Chief Aircraft

but was thinking they will get harder find if their out of business.

I second this. I have not had good luck with Slimline on my 120 sized engines. I've had two sets break where the down tube attaches to the main body, and where the bolt plate attaches. I had one set repaired and the other DA replaced. The JTECH are much better built in my opinion. And as others have said they are easy to get in touch with, and nice people.

I know this is not gas but back when I flew glow I tried a slimline pitts on a OS 55ax and it did NOT work. Not enough backpressure to keep it running right. Just my few mites.....

On a DA60, the slimline pitts seems to be a little quieter than the jtec. I can't tell any difference in power.

I personally know Al and Kevin from when they lived in New York and have used their mufflers in the past

they are great guys and have always been super supportive



but still my feeling is the slimline is just a bit quieter and the cast aluminum seems to be stronger in the exhaust port area,

but anyway Just wondering if Slimline is going to close or be sold off to china or something.
