Ziroli 92" p-47

Discussion in 'Beginners' Lounge' started by Raven, Nov 3, 2015.

  1. hi everyone,

I am currently in the process of building a ziroli p-47 and am looking to find out if anyone has installed a twin cylinder engine on this bird. I want the biggest engine i can fit without having anything protruding out the sides of the cowl. For those that have built this bird, what engines have you installed?

I would think great answers to this question would come from rc scale builders members. Maybe the Zenoah gt-80?

Here you go Bartman, this is the progress thus far. I am building the razorback version and it will be a semi-scale build. I chose not to do the scale hinge points for this build as i just wanted to build it and have it ready for spring. This is my first kit build.

  5. After doing a bit of research, it looks like the only twin that would fit is the zenoah gt80. HP wise, it only puts out 6 hp, right inline with a 60 cc, so i am now thinking about a DA 85 single, but that will be the last thing to do so i have some time to figure it out

  6. Da, zdz and a few other's have some inline engines around the 100cc mark. Nothing wrong with the gt80. Can't always rely on hp numbers.
  7. 3W does an inline 110 that is a cool option for warbirds.
  8. Thanks for the leads on the inlines, might be a viable option.

  10. A few more pics of the build so far. Have yet to decide on an engine, but that will be the last thing i put on it. Robart mains and tail with U.P.3 for gear and doors.
