Thanks, 3DMike! I'm from Knoxville, TN. I have been flying HH parkflyers for a while along with a Blade 300x. I am ordering a 3DHS 42" Slick this week and happened across your forum looking for build help. There is a gent from Arizona that has a great build log. I have been flying on Phoenix RC and look forward to venturing into the world of 3D.

That gent from AZ would be one of our longtime members Matt (known in these parts as AZAerobat) and his awesome build is here: http://www.3drcforums.com/showthread.php?t=1224

Thanks 3dmike,

I've always loved anything that flies. I'm very fortunate that I do make a living with flying passengers around but I do have so much more fun flying my rc birds.
Just fell in love with the new Jeti16. I love the open programming. I never thought I would leave Futaba.
My Favorite birds are from xtremeflight and 3DHS but my love is The Beast of H9.
Great being here on your forum. Looking forward exchanging info.

I looked at a Jetti 16 last year at the FLI at cape ,sure was a nice radio but looks like it might feel a weird in hands compared to futaba

That was the biggest issue I had with it. Took me a good day of flying to get comfortable with the new 'physical' feel and I even had some doubt the first flight. Now I don't know better. I truly enjoy the transmitter.
But I can see that would be a deal breaker for some pilots. Futaba, in my opinion, is the most ergonomic.

Thanks AZAerobat! I have honestly never had a balsa model, and am a bit nervous. I poked with a PZ Visionaire or Yak but everywhere I read said 3DHS is the way to go. I will definitely be consulting your build log along the way and appreciate the offer of advice. I will certainly let you know if I need anything!
