Anyone from the 3DRCForums going to Watts Over Owatonna this weekend?

Website: http://www.wattsflyin.com/Welcome.html
Physical Address: 7198 SW 48th St, Owatonna, MN 55060

Here is the information taken from the website:

WATTS over Owatonna is open to all pilots of electric RC aircraft. The landing fee covers all three days. All pilots must show proof of current AMA membership as this is a sanctioned event. Park Pilot memberships are welcome as long as your aircraft fall into the limits of the park flyer program.

The event will start Friday at 8am and run till Sunday at 4pm. You are more then welcome to come early or stay late. We will have a special Spaghetti dinner thursday night for the early birds! There will be a pilots meeting at 8:30am each day followed by open flying. We will have some organized events such as a Mass Warbird Launch, Combat, night flying and possibly more.

Concessions will be available on site for breakfast lunch and dinner plus there is a playground for the kids to enjoy. Camping on site is welcomed so come enjoy the weekend.

It is recommended you operate on 2.4 ghz. There will be a frequency board in place and pilots on 72 mhz will be responsible for frequency control. We will have a sign up for pilots to register what frequencies they are on to help mitigate any conflicts. SMMAC will not be responsible for any issues that arise from operating on 72 mhz.

Hope to see some of you there!

Ah, you posted this after I left so I didn't see it. I was an on site vendor at Watts. What a great field and a great event. Great to see RC Girl and the red headed guy flying 3D there. Very impressive. it was a 1300 mile drive but worth it. I will make every effort to return next year

It was nice to see you there. My Dad bought a flying wing from you, it'll be fun to see that thing in the air when he's finished! I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more 'space' given to 3D/Aerobatics at the event and also that there were no product demonstrations from the major companies, but the steak dinner was awesome!

Yeah, the 3D was somewhat restricted as was the helicopter flying. It really is mostly geared to the sport flyer but it was nice for them to have a segment of each hour dedicated to 3D. The flying was pretty incredible and i think it will get more time since the interest is there. Every event evolves over time. This was my first year going and I was impressed enough that I would like to go back next year. It's a nice field and great people.
