Abkap10,

I apologize, my numbers must have been mixed in my head. I told you 6800 and it was 6500.

Today I did a back-to-back comparison flight with a Falcon CF 24x10 and a Mejzlik 24x10TH.

Ground rpm numbers were both 6500 -6550. In flight rpm (straight and level) was 7550 on the Falcon and 7650 on the Mej.

Flight comparison: both props were very similar, hard for me to tell a big difference. The falcon has a tiny bit more grunt I think... But the Mej seemed to get a little more air over the tail in low/slow, and hovered a pinch higher in the rpm range.
Top end seems really close, with the Mej gaining a few more mph on the top.

The Mej was noticeably quieter in flight, but the GP still had it ripping a tiny bit. Wow!

I have those exact same numbers on my EME 60 but with a Falcon CF 24 9.
Well, at least I'll have an additional 2 lbs of extra static trust with the GP61.

Today I run the GP61. So far I burned 3/4 of a gallon.
I just did some fine tuning and I reached a top rpm of 6870 on a CF Falcon 24*9. It has a nice aggressive transition.

I received one of these bad boys a couple weeks ago.

I will be installing it in an EF 88 edge.

I am ordering a vess 23B stealth to try on it. I would like to use a 23x12, but I can't find one in carbon.

I fly at the same field as Marten, so I might be able to convince him to do a performance comparison with some different props. Abkap10

23B will be under propped.

Do you think I will be damaging the engine with high RPM?

I personally dont like running big props. I like to have as low of drag as possible.

If the 23B is too small, do you think a 23x12 would work? If so, do you know of anyone who makes a carbon fiber 23x12?

I already ordered the 23xB, and vess doesn't seem to want to answer my emails. I might be stuck with it.

Jacob, if you bought a Vess 23B Stealth and can't use it, I might be able to take it off your hands. I think I have a motor that could probably use it just fine.

I don't know about carbon but vess does have the "C" props so a 23c would be okay. Or even a true 23x10
