FPV flying

Always wanted to try it, just never have. I would probably build a FliteTest Mini arrow. Dollar Tree foam board planes are cheap and easy to repair.

FPV is what got my son really excited to fly. Our club trainer has an Albatross, like ended up getting for my son. Once my son looked through his goggles and then flew a flight on his plane. He was hooked at that point. I have bought a FPV setup for his plane. But I made a deal with him, "You learn to fly the plane and I will buy you the camera."

Here he is getting ready for that first FPV flight

I bought the FPV setup soon as I bought his trainer (I couldn't help myself!). He is really excited about it.

Good info. Have 9 and 11 year olds that aren't too interested. However, they really enjoy flying a cheap multi-rotor that my oldest got for his birthday from a friend. FPV sounds like an interesting track. Thanks!

My son is 9 and would only get excited enough to go to the field with me, and I think that was for McDonalds breakfast on the way!!! He is pretty excited about the FPV and is looking forward to going Saturday. I gave him the goal of learning to fly the plane and then we will put in the FPV gear. He even got on the simulator for awhile!
