So there must be another socket in the box. The wing tube is quite a bit different from what I'm use to, I think I will but a carbon tube when I get ready to build it.

Sockets are different but are heavy and sturdy but yes I am looking for a new tube found one at JTEC has one for ninety bucks and it is 48 inches long.

I like to make fiberglass sockets for carbon fiber tubes because the size varies so much, plus/minus .025". Are your sockets glued in?

The are never coming out they are in for the life of the wing. Hope fully the carbon tubes are 0.025 smaller do you know. Going to do some measurements. If they are smaller no problem just have to machine up a couple sleeves, to make the carbon tube fit properly. The tube only carries in to spots on the end and at the fuselage.

@TonyHallo
Well did some measurements the tube is bad it goes from 1.4905 to 1.5055 not good. Have a carbon tube at 1.5 inches and it is measures at 1.4905 and does not change true round. So if the one I buy is the same then will end up with o.o21 clearance which I will have to do something about. But depending on how you measure the aluminum tube we can get as much as 0.018 clearance. Quality sucks.

Well the ailerons are almost done just have to install the control horns and the bevels for the ailerons the bevels are cut and sanded and ready to be installed. The control horns are made just have to make the control horn blocks that will be installed into the styrofoam. When that is bone then the bevels will be installed and fitted.

Still have a little work to be done on the ailerons but the weather is really starting to warm up really getting the itch to get a plane out and ready to go flying. Will finish the wings and ailerons but if the weather holds like this and improves the fuselage will be built this coming winter. I just do not have much patience to build during the summer or the will. Much to busy doing plane maintenance and flying, try to fly a minimum of three times a week if the weather will let me.

You :sneaky:. You were going to make your own all along :big_yes:.
No I was not but as know when you order stuff from the USA it can take as long as 5 weeks if it ends up in customs and I was not prepared to wait that long because summer will be here and then I will not finish the ailerons. So I made them . Stuff like that I usually do not make it is much easier just to buy it. Thanks for your help anyway.
