Finally a dream come true. A real 1.5m DLG Flitz2, Oleg on R C Groups gave me a deal on his last one in stock that I couldn’t pass up. Also found put that he designed the Falcon DLG...pretty neat! @BalsaDust I’m joining you in the Flitz club!
I’m going to call this one captain America!

here is the wing next to my mini dart.

You will love it. I have flown both a Flitz 1 and Flitz 2 and obviously own a Flitz 1. I prefer the 1 over the 2 by just a little bit. I only say that as it has a little more wing area that the Flitz 2 so it signals lift a little better for someone like me that doesn't see the signs of it. Keep us posted on the build. What servos are you going to use?

going with MKS75
Not sure on power source yet. Got a pic of inside the pod for me? Curious how yours was set up. I’m undecided on the layout.

I will try to get a picture for you when I get home from work this afternoon. I do not care for the way the layout is in mine but I bought it used so I get what I get. mine has older JR servos in it and I have thought about ripping it all out and upgrading to a set of KST X08's I have laying around. I will also try to get my buddy to send me a picture of the pod on his Flitz 2 as his is setup nice and I believe he has MKS servos in one of his two.

Ive heard the CG on the Flitz2 can make a huge difference. 68mm is preferred I guess. Page 55 or 59 on RCG has a bunch of photos of pod layouts on the flitz2. It all depends on the battery choice.
I’m considering the side by side and canted a bit using a couple triangle shims. This will get great deflection while using the guide tubes along the sides.
The kst08s are great, just get the latest versions. Some of the earlier ones had issues. KSTs are a bit smaller I think. I’ve seen photos of the ksts sisr by side with a balsa shim on either side that looked great. I don’t think there is enough room for the MKS to do the same thing without interference.

what battery are you using? The MKS servos I got are 3.7-6v, kinda regretting not getting the HV version. BUT seriously thinking of a single round cell Lion or similar.

Here is my pod setup. Servos are turned sideways and angled a little bit and personally I hate it. When I redo it I plan to design and print a tray to go in it and mount them side by side with lines going down opposite sides. Also I recommend doing a pinned setup for the wing servos. Makes transport so much easier. If you don’t have any of these plugs I would be happy to send one out to you. I salvaged a bunch off of old components at work so they have some old solder on them but still work. If you need clarification on it I can draw up a diagram of how it’s setup.

nice, thanks. There really isn’t a perfect world when it comes to DLG pods. Always crammed. What power source are you using?

I have a 1S gum stick style battery stuffed in the nose. Can't remember the mah rating off hand but it works well. I have seen many using 2S in DLG's now and I dont see the need. the servos are plenty strong and for the tiny movements the surfaces make I dont see the need for the extra speed it gains you.

What radio system do you use in your stuff?

I’m using a Futaba 18SZ. Trying to figure which receiver to use. In my mini dart I got a FrSky 4ch Rx

I liked the idea of using a 2S battery and a tiny voltage regulator. Just for consistent voltage for the Rx as a 1S is operating at the Rx min voltage. Wouldn’t want any voltage sag.
