Continuing to cheat, Antonio dialing in my Yak now after he finished with my Sukhoi. It is flawless, rock solid spins, knife edge, snaps, etc. Hi/ low idle switch, expo, rates, everything perfect. What a difference a well adjusted plane is.

Very cool! Nothing wrong with that form of cheating.
Love the scheme on your Yak, bet it looks great in the air!

A friend of mine just bought an AS3X receiver, he is not good with electronics so I'm sure it will cross my path. Are they hard to set up?

Not hard at all, but watch the video series by Miguel Alvarez.

Well, my friend received his receiver. Already has a problem getting it to hold a bind. It binds but every time he turns it off he has to rebind to get it working again. I wish I was closer to him to help him through this problem...

That doesn’t sound good. Which particular receiver model is it?

It is a AR8360T.
I have downloaded the instructions and I think I know where he is going wrong.

Hope you’re able to make it work!
The key for me was Forward Programming, where all the settings are changed.
Bind the receiver then you’re able to get to the Forward Programming menu from the transmitter.
You may need to download the latest software for the transmitter.

Went flying the other morning on the lake. I was having a peaceful day.

but then some tourists showed up and I wanted to show off…imagine a full throttle on the deck pass, when stupid (me) forgot to take it out of high rates and wanted to get closer to the water. I slapped that poor plane on the water so hard it put a beaver tail slap to shame.
Knowing I screwed up bad (tourists knew too) and seeing damage on the floats I flew the plane in at high alpha towards shore and touching the water rudders down first - plopped the plane down and skid up on shore… boy I’m glad I did because both floats were split down the middle. She would have sank quick!

Plane can be fixed, floats are questionable.

Ouch.:( Dang tourists always causing problems for the locals. :p
