Thank you Steven.
The first fairing is out of the mold, clean the mold and two coats of PVA and number will be on the way. One layer of 4 oz cloth and one layer of 8 oz. cloth. Mixed 6 grams of epoxy

Tony,

Very new guy here. Read your entire thread today. So.....

Any interest in doing a pair of cabin tops for cash?

Assuming my health improves (surgery 1 July) I'll be starting a WH Cherokee later this summer. A glass top plus a spar for Murphy would be nice. I'm also doing a scale stab.

My Cherokee will be modeled after my fathers 1964 180C. Big difference in the cowl. This is the paint scheme only mine will have a different number.

Welcome aboard Appowner.
What parts are you looking for? The fiberglass part or windows or both? The fiberglass part is far from perfect and it will take a few prime and sand sessions. You can see in the photo the shinny and darker spots are low, I quickly block sanded to see just how it looked. As far as the windows I have a sheet of .040" PETG the would be good for the windshield and was planning to use the same for the sides glass and another canopy for my One Design. I'm fairly sure that .030" would work just fine for sides so if you want the windows as well I would buy a sheet of .030" now. My vacuum form size is 24" x 32" so I can get 6 pulls out of a 4' x 8' sheet, the sheet would give me 2 sets of side windows and 2 mistakes or prototypes.
Hope your surgery goes well.

Nice paint scheme the the way.

Tony,

Just the fiberglass portion. It doesn't matter that it's rough, I'm no stranger to filler, sand paper and primer. I just can't mold to save myself. PM me what you need for this.

Yea I always like the paint on our Cherokee. Spent many happy hours in the right seat. Spent a few minutes laying on the right wing puking my guts out too. I get air sick if things aren't just right. :0

Tony,
You continue to impress me with your craftsmanship and resourcefulness. Marbles as locating pins... genius! Great job on the canopy thus far - looks top shelf to me!

Thanks Nick but it is not my idea, something I read on the web but they do work great, very easy to align and pops right into place.
