Picked up a new project today. Just call me Oscar the Grouch without the Grouch part as I love other peoples trash. A buddy had an unfortunate run in between a EF 69" turbo Raven and the ground. It was destined for the trash if I hadn't said I would take it.

Broken wheel pant.

The left wing took the brunt of the hit. Right wing appears to be just fine other that the mount tab is broken. This left wing though I'm hopeful I can just pull the covering off the bottom, realign parts, wick in some thin CA, and add a bit of bracing here and there.
3.jpg

At first thought I was thinking I would need to order a replacement stab and elevator and the left side of the stab was sheered off at the fuse.
4.jpg

After getting it completely free though I noticed the ribs all have nice 8mm holes in them which a carbon fiber arrow shaft fit perfectly.
6.jpg

A little bit of patience and some 20 minute epoxy and I have the whole assembly glued back in place. Unless you are looking close you can't tell it was ever broken.
7.jpg

Didn't take any pictures of the fuse but somehow it survived almost unscathed. Two formers that are cracked and some of the sheeting around the landing gear area was pulled free but nothing a little bit of CA won't take care of.

I have an Aeroworks Edge 540 (120cc) you can have. Dead stick downwind a couple/3 years ago and tore the landing gear off as well as 6" of a wing tip. I never finished rebuilding it........

Machining hobby room work today, only a couple of hours work but happy to make progress on the ceiling. This ceiling is a pain installing by myself. Expensive, I'll have at least $3k in materials. I already had a third of the ceiling in insulation laying around the shop so that's a help.

My kids have helped a little but they're teenagers and are busy. Old bones do not climb on scaffolding like they used to...... This will be a great hobby room once it's finished.

Insulation shot for those that questioned me.....

Not much to show on this one. Some random 30cc sized yak a flying buddy gave me that had never been flown. I threw a spare set of PowerHD LF20 servos in it I had and picked up a XPWR30cc and Castle Edge HV 80 ESC. Will get it's maiden today during my lunch break. HRB 6S 4000mah lipos in series to make it 12S. Should be a good beater. Don't let the pictures fool you as its not as pretty in person.
