The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Finished the fence this weekend other than coming back in a few weeks to apply a sealer to it. I rewarded myself by cooking up a Boston Butt in the smoker all day Sunday while I was finishing up. Both the fence and the Butt turned out great.

    110" TIMBER Assembly Thread

I love a good dial indicator but the 1/64 would drive me crazy. as far as the inch system over the metric I agree the metric system is probably better but after many years in construction SAE is just burned into my brain and it hard sometimes to look at other things.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Today at work we came across a swarm of bees hanging out in a tree. Lucky for my coworker who keeps bees. He didn’t have any of the stuff he would need so he improvised. Just a random scrap box, the first roll of tape he could find, and a pair of cable cutters. Literally cut the branch, placed...

It’s rained every day here for a week now and supposed to get a break with temps in low 80’s this weekend so the ground should be plenty soft.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

If all the fencing I was putting in going to be brand new fence I would have bought or rented one of the cheap 1 man augers but unfortunately the auger will do me no good getting the old post out of the ground first.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

LOL. Yeah the fence will be on both sides of the house. One side is right at 50' long and the other side is going to be around 35' long. Then also got piece of split rail fence to place a 90 degree corner fence on each side of my personal driveway where it meets the shared driveway with my...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Old fence is already half down so its gotta come the rest of way down then new be built. The white box just has the boxes of screws in it. If you look in the second picture behind the car you can see the old fence and where I have some of the orange construction fence up in its place to keep the...

Continuing my shop move and renovation I repaired one of the lower cabinets and made a work surface for the top of it. Had fun using my homemade tracksaw setup for my circular saw.

What do you use for a work stand

Thats pretty slick. For my sanity could you please scrape the stickers off of the conduit. LOL. As an electrician I was taught early on that its easy to make all of the conduit fittings line up when running multiple runs next too each other but not so easy with the stickers and to scrape them...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Little by little the shop is coming together. Got the two lower cabinets set in place. The one in the second place needs some repairs and I need to build a top for them but it’s getting there.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

So hanging cabinets in my shop finally gives me a place to store this busted 1/4 scale cub until I get time to repair it and get it into the air.
