The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Been dealing with Taildragger for some things for a number of years now. Their A123 batteries are top notch.

That isn't even body temp. I have no clue, but I am curious what is considered high when charging? I would think they would have to get well over 100 to start having issues. I am also guessing outside air temps would play into this in a big way.

Cool The I'm going out flying thread 2017

I really think he should have climbed the tree and then while rescuing the plane have someone take a pic of it. :fist_pump:

I love the insane power of the DA 120, however you are so right about the DA 100. The DA 120 is like having a rocket booster on the plane. The DA 100 is simply smooth, predictable, and makes a balanced setup with planes in that range. I can imagine the DA 100L would be just right for something...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Every surface on mine is maxed as far as I can take them. The rudder is almost hitting the elevator and any more on the elevator would break wood. It flies great like this! Sucker is wild too. It is a total blast to fly and amazing how this plane will calm right down and be docile when you need it.

If it is the little barrel shaped pump, you can take it apart and see what is wrong. It may only need o-rings, but if the barrel or gears are worn out not sure you can get those parts.

Yep the clearances in that area are way to close and present some challenges when putting the wings on. I routed my connections to the front of the wing. Once you put the wings on a few times, you develop a pattern. It seems to hold up good though so the strength must be there.

    Help! The difference between a DA85 and a DA100L.

I have a DA 100 (not L) and it has good power and smooth as silk. I flew it on a 105" Extra 260, but I like rocket ship power so I put a DA 120 on it and now it is a rocket, but not nearly as smooth as the DA 100. The DA 100 I have is a sweet running engine although quite a bit on the heavy...

I never really thought about looking at the tail of the plane more. I don't know what I do. I think for the most part I am paying attention to the entire plane and more on the nose of the airplane. I wonder what most others do when they are down low?

Mine came out at 9.1 lbs, so 8.5 should be pretty good. I put it through the ringer and can do tons of wild stuff with it, but I gotta learn to fly as low as balsadust does before I have arrived. :D

Looks great! Looking forward to meeting you guys and seeing Ben's "other" field :D I fly with him most every Sunday evening, so you would think in all these years I would have made the MVRC fort lee field a visit. It is only an hour from me to get there so not bad at all. Every time I was...
