    Awesome Video Thread

Man the stangflyer would go gaga over it. I did :yesss:. Did you notice anything going on "down" the fairway? Maybe I should say "going down on the fairway"... time stamp 2:29

Speaking of "Dirt Work".....At the scale fly in a couple of weeks ago I also took another fun plane. My "Ain't your momma's" QQ300. Because of the flight line rules I had to carry the plane to the runways edge and then walk 20 yards to the pilots station. It was very windy and the plane ended...

Sorry if it sounded like the "dirt work" was at your hand. You and I know what happened like you said. But!....."Dirt Work" has gotten many hands dirty including my own o_O. My first flights with the old engine lead to a right side landing gear that got peeled back like a banana :brian-banana...

Thank you. I guess it's an "Almost Dumpster'd" Cub rebuild :ooh?:. Robert was cleaning out and making ready for his new projects and was going to throw away the Cub. So I decided to meet up with him and take care of the disposal :). The plane was not with out issues though. It had some serious...

Scale 1/3 Scale Extra 330L Build.

Thanks again. It's a spring I used to mimic a smoke fluid injection line. Don't know if I really like it but I saw one as a kid at an air show at Wright Patterson field in Ohio. Still need to work the underside of the fuse and wing but it is going hang for a bit. Hope to get it out and see how...

It has to set overnight and then the finishing touches :). Used JB weld to attach. Need to make the exhaust exit and tail pipe and trim the DLE exhaust stacks back flush with the bottom of cowl

Thanks Bart. I have flown both. This one getting some "Flex-Seal" and then going to fly it over a pool of ALIGATORS :woohoo!:

Picked up a can of the clear today. Going to spray a piece of the covering I removed from the bottom when I made the access panel. If it looks decent the portion (between ribs) of the bottom wing will get masked and sprayed.

Finished up the Cub exhaust today. Painted it satin metallic nickel. Also found some paint that matches the yellow on the Cub. So in the not to distant future the bottom side of the plane going to get it :dancing-chicken:.

On some online shops as soon as the credit card is approved it generates a purchase order and shipping label with tracking number. It is very misleading sometimes because "handling" is always part of the process.

The weight is of no concern. I had removed almost 10oz behind the fire wall any way when I swapped out engines. The 3oz the exhaust weighs still lets me have a weight reduction of over 1/2 pound :).

Started making the exhaust for the dummy cub engine. Boy copper sure has gotten expensive. 30 bucks for a few small 1/4" fitting's :ooh?: Last pic my hand must been shakin

Funny thing you mentioned shipping routes...I ordered some electric props direct from APC in Southern Cali. They went to Honolulu and back to San Diego before heading my way o_O.

I’m going out flying thread 2019

Wanted to get out this weekend but it looks like a repeat of last summer :(. This Holiday weekend saw some record high temps down here. Triple digit heat :ugh:. Since the days are long I thought I could get some comfort flying done in the evening....NOT :face-palm:.

Thanks Snoop's. I have an idea on why the plane has a not so good glide slope. Yes the 17 pound (wet) take off weight is not helping but this thing should still "float" like a Cub. The stits covering on the wing is painted nicely but the fabric has not been sealed. You can blow air right through...
