    65" Vyper Discussion Thread

As long as they all move freely, you'll be absolutely fine as long as you seal the hinge gaps. Are you familiar with how to do that?

    65" Vyper Discussion Thread

Should be an awesome setup. To remove the exiting nuts, stick a screwdriver or hex driver that will fit into the holes, and lightly tap on the end until they pop out. Then insert some epoxy covered wooden dowels (or a square piece of balsa that's been shaved or sanded round) into the holes. To...

    XQ Power Servo's

They are a budget brand... Inferior to Hitec, Futaba, Savox, etc. That is not to say they don't work, as they do... Just not as well, and not for as long as other options out there. They generally center well, and perform close to advertised specs. I've heard of some people being both really...

    GP 61 -Discussion thread

Forgot to post this last week: New clips installed and running great. Anyone out there with a 24x9 falcon CF interested trading for a 24x10 falcon CF let me know.... I want to go down in pitch a pinch.

    60" Laser-EXP

Jacob flies thousands of flights per year on his planes, and due to his gifted ability of airframe abuse, most planes don't survive very long with him. His EF 104" Extra lasted under 50 flights IIRC.

    60" Laser-EXP

I've found over time that using popsicle sticks to mark the openings works well. Here are instructions and some pics from my previous builds/posts on this subject: First, tape some popsicle sticks parallel to the fuse, extending over the tabs. Then, drill the openings through the sticks that...

    Redwing RC 89 Extra 330sc

I think the fuse on the RW may be in inch or so shorter, not really significant IMHO. The difference you may see when side by side on the ground, is the RW is a little fatter in the cowl, and has a more aggressive taper to the tail. The turtle deck is also smaller so the fuse height where the...

    Redwing RC 89 Extra 330sc

Thanks Ray! To me, the RW flies a little more stable through some maneuvers, almost like an Edge, and gets a little more violent in tumbles. The 3dhs is a little more capable in precision maneuvers.

    Servo for 30-35c

    Servo for 30-35c

I built one of those as well. The HS-5585MH would be perfect.

    Servo for 30-35c

Both the Hitec HS-5565/5585MH are excellent servos, and I've used both in 30-35cc sized 3dhs, Redwing and Aerobeez airplanes without any issues. The EF 76" MXS and Laser aren't true 30cc sized planes; closer to 40/50cc size in terms of control surface, and that is why the larger servo is...

ZTW gecko series now available at 3drcparts.com

I haven't heard it being fixed yet. I do know that Garret AltitudeHobbies sent a Motrolfly setup for 8s, direct to ZTW for testing (at his own expense)

    3D Hobbyshop 106" Edge 540

Nice plan! Those servos are monsters, but you should be able to mount nicely on the huge double rudder tray without much work. Please take a few pics of it and how you install it :)

    3D Hobbyshop 106" Edge 540

Thanks Mark :) I like them a lot. I've had my HSB-9370THs for a year now; they still run flawlessly. Made the decision on my next set even easier. I'm sure these 9380s will be just as nice. One of the other things I love about Hitec is their U.S. service center. In addition to warranty...
