Krill 39% Ultimate 300KS Assembly And Paint

Pretty much the only mount of any type included with this Krill was a fuel tank tray. Composite ARF airplanes are a little more compete.

Thanks! I'll fit it to the bottom of the fuse when I decide exactly where it's going.

    Cool Hangin’ in the Hangar

That thing is gorgeous! That would make an awesome scratch build project.

I built a mount for the SWB rudder servo tray out of scrap carbon balsa sandwich. It's just tacked together with CA right now since I am out of Hysol. I don't know exactly where it's going to sit in the fuselage yet.

I've used a lot of Solartex, how does it compare to that?

    New Product Pilot-RC New Pitts!

It's a carbon fiber rod fixed solid in the center of the fuse that's in L shaped slots in the sides. The spring is the rod itself. The slots allow you to pull back and down to release or let it spring forward to lock.

    Awesome Video Thread

We went to the Byron Fly-in in 85 and 86 and my favorite airplanes in their Striking Back display were the 1/5th scale B-25's. They were awesome! 1/5th scale would have put them at around 160".

    Awesome Video Thread

I always imagined how much fun it is changing 56 spark plugs.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

One of the guys at the field showed up one day with some new 6S 5000 packs. I don't remember what company they were from. They were pre-wired with EC5 connectors, but instead of the contacts being both female on the battery, they were wired with one male and one female. That was a WTF moment for...

I would be a little afraid to go too nose heavy. Nose heavy airplanes can land like lead missiles.

Very cool! I myself am a huge fan of the P-40B. I love the clean look of the nose.

Krill 39% Ultimate 300KS Assembly And Paint

Yesterday after the glue on my wing skin reinforcements was hard I temporarily installed the servos in the top wing and tested them. There is no more flex on the top wing skin. Before I installed the servos I shortened the servo arms to 1 1/4". It only takes a few minutes and it looks so much...

Krill 39% Ultimate 300KS Assembly And Paint

Last night I made and glued the reinforcements into the servo bays on top wing like I did on the lowers. I didn't bother with pictures since they would look identical to the ones I already posted. I decided to test and see just how bad the servo cover for the upper wing and the wing strut...

Thanks! The list of projects on this thing is as long as my arm so that will also have a lot to do with what happens to these covers. Plus I really want to build something for myself too this winter, so time is an issue.

    Awesome Video Thread

A friend of mines son has flown both for the CAF (still the Confederate Air Force to me). It would be interesting to know what he thinks.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

As rusty as that stuff looks I'd swear it was from here in the midwest. Does yours have the rear disc brakes? Those can be tons of fun when they're rusty. The rusted up emergency brakes on my brothers 2012 Liberty really sucked.
