I am lucky in my club. We have four builders in it, many clubs have none.

Throttle % is still there in Frsky's OS ETHOS. I flew all this past summer using it and really enjoy it. ETHOS is almost up to speed now as OTX which I always used before.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

I really like the idea of that. Wonder how it would work on a 3D plane? I wish I could use it but I have a 4mm aluminum rod down the center of my elevator and wings hinge lines so I would not be able to use it. Unless?!? Just thought of a work around....

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Yup, I agree about nose heavy. I have been moving it back slowly but think I should just double the 2 cm and go to 4cm. After trying with this glider I would rather build a balsa glider with a bigger cord. Just need to find a two or three meter kit. Thanks for the links...

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

It is ridiculously hard to get it in a stable glide. Even when hand tossing it with the motor off I can not hold the nose up and it goes nose down very quickly. I have moved the CG back about 2 cm already from where they say it should be. I have tried to fly it using rudder only to keep it flat...

Yes I believe that is a big part of the problem. This is my first. But the plane is known to have CG problems.

Also for the first time I tried to fly a glider. Did not have much luck with it. I am not sure why but this thing is a bear to fly. I let another club member try it and he had the same problems I did. I'm hoping it is because my CG is to far forward but it will have to wait till next year now.

Tony, I honestly do not understand what you are building in your last two posts. What is a "slider box"? I do like following along with your build!!!

I have just received six, six foot rolls of jet white. They are labeled flat but are gloss?

You are very lucky finding the 25 foot rolls of jet white. I was going to buy a few for my next build but could only find 6 foot rolls up here in Ontario Canada. It seems other people are starting to hoard them. So far all the rolls I have bought are the same quality, maybe I'm getting older stock.
