    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I have some carbon fiber rods on hand that I was going to originally use. I wonder just how much less they weigh? I may check them out and see the difference. I attempted to move the engine forward by using the front bolt hold for the back bolt, but did not make a noticeable difference. I was...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

BTW, I plan to maiden it soon, but weather around here has been a dog. We had heavy rains, wind around 15 or so, and overcast. I just got back from mowing the field and the wind kept blowing my hat off!

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I simply could not get mine to balance anywhere close so I got a smaller battery and mounted it as far forward in the wing to the leading edge as possible. That saved almost 2 oz, but doesn't really help on balance point. Then I got a brass adapter/spinner that was around 2 or more ounces and...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I used the Dubro that has the single bolt through and the plastic piece screws on then you mount your ball link to that and a ball link at the servo end. I sort of wanted to use the fiberglass horns where you put in two slots and the ball link goes between them with a bolt through, but opted to...

    Spektrum DX-20 Recall Info

My buddy emailed me and said they have extended the time frame for his radio to come back. They extended it out another week!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Wow..those are thin vertical supports! That should be really light. I think that is why mine is heavier because those supports in mine are more to plans.

News Roll call! Joe Nall 2017

I keep saying I am going and never got there yet. Not sure I will make it this year or not. I know a lot of guys that have made the trip and loved the time there.

Agreed white on the blue, or red, but it would depend on the overall scheme as for the color.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Thanks, I am fairly pleased with it. As you know there is always a few things you would do differently. This is only my 3rd full covering job (first one from a fresh build) and I have done several partial covering jobs.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Ok, that should be fine for me for this size plane. I have an EF 104 with a DA 120 that is fairly ballistic, so I am good. :D :D

    2 Finger Pinch or Thumbs

I have tried pinch some, but just does not suit me for some reason. I guess since I use a neck strap it works better to use my thumbs for working the sticks. I see some guys that fly with their radios almost at their knees with the antenna pointing downward. That totally amazes me.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Ok, I was wondering so I went and weighed it best I could on flat scales. I have better scales in my trailer, but did not pull them out. From what I can tell it weighs around 8lbs 13-14 oz. I would think that would be a tad on the heavy side for a DLE 20, but I don't really weigh any of my...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I have no clue as I have not weighed it yet. I will make me a note to weigh it. Probably be next week before I get to it. I have not checked CG either.

I finally got my MOJO 65 finished, well except for a few minor odds and ends. Hopefully the pics will work.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

This may be helpful. It is for fiberglass. I have seen some for paper builds. Hope the link works. If it doesn't just do a google search for how to build your own wing tube sleeve or something along those lines. https://www.GiantScaleNews.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81143

    Alert! ??? RedWing RC???

I would think it would be very difficult to have an RC business support you with all the competition out there. Also, I think many simply don't understand how much capital it takes to run a business and when times are lean, you have to have enough capital to pull you through. In those lean...

    Spektrum DX-20 Recall Info

By not telling folks what the problem is (simple honesty), many customers will abandon this ship. Sad but true. My buddy called to check on his and they would only tell him they had a standard of quality and it needed to be checked. What a load of BS to be giving knowledgeable adults.
