    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I am getting down to some final steps with my Mojo 65. I pretty much mounted engine, fuel tank, and all electronics (except throttle servo, ignition, switch and battery) and then removed it all to get ready to cover the plane. I still have to cut my battery/switch hatch on the wing. I plan to...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Why don't more do that? Makes me hot when I get ready to check out an order that is relatively small and then I see freight is 10-20 bucks. Totally ridiculous. I simply refuse to buy from any company that rips me off on freight. Anyone can go online and see what it cost to ship. I was going to...

News Thoughts on new 2017 shirts?

Decals - yes that would be nice too. I have some spots on my trailer and my radio case that could use a few.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I do have one slimer, my trainer - forgot I had that one. It is a 45 engine and I remember keeping that to help folks learn when needed. I agree a trainer with a small gas engine would be the ticket.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I used to think I would forever be a die-hard slimer guy, but once I made the switch to gas, it was all she wrote! I got rid of my slimer inventory and never looked back. That was a great choice for me and my style of flying - not too mention the price of slimer fuel.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I have already cut the rest of my hinge slots. I went for six hinges as there is a lot of distance there and five looked very weak to me. I basically will have setup fully completed before covering, then will remove everything and then cover it. I did that on two planes I rebuilt and to me that...

How many flat hinges do you normally put on the ailerons on the Mojo 65?

I think you are right about the aluminum, although I have never had any issues with carbon. The aluminum tube is certainly a lot cheaper. I was looking at the wing tube sleeve and aluminum tube should hold up fine for this setup.

I was going to use Robart pin hinges cause I have a lot of them, but changed my mind and will go with Dubro flat hinges. Once you drill a hole for the Robart hinges there is not enough meat left to suit my tastes, so the flat hinges will do.

Are you going to use carbon fiber rod for wing tube, or aluminum? I have aluminum, but not sure as I have had aluminum wing tubes bend before. I just basically have to hing and cover mine at this point.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

The Hanger 9 35% Extra 260 flies beautifully with a DA100 with cans on it (if balanced out correctly). I have one and that is one smooth flying classy bird. The DA 100 on it runs like a sewing machine. Why H9 discontinued this bird is questionable. I know there were a lot of problems with wings...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I am thinking the valleyview or dle 20cc. I currently have a DLE 20cc on my other Aerobeez profile and it does great, but can be a little persnickaty (if that is a word) about fine tuning. I am used to it though so no big deal. I have read so many great things about the VV 20cc engine.

Yes, please do. I do attend several funfly events. I usually do the Aeronuts in Petersburg and CVRC in Powhatan. Hopefully I will hit more this year.

He built another red one too. Man the covering is so nice it looks like it is painted on! I had to get on the ground and up close to see the covering lines LOL
