    Sunday night GSN Update

It is the behind the scenes stuff that "joe public" rarely is aware of. Years ago anyone that started anything much considered it the "long haul" however in today's world the major constant is change and the challenge is adaptating to that change. I always thought in my lifetime that long term...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

For sure - sometimes I go the field and just sit in my chair on my trailer ramp like a space cadet. I simply don't know what that is all about. I may only fly a few times on those days and as you put it, "just not feel it" is the issue. I think that is when we are just tired and the motivation...

When it feels like 96 that early, then it has to be a scorcher later in the day. We have a lot of humidity here. I have a geothermal underground system and it has two zones. The water pumping out of the condensates is unreal. It is enough moisture that the yard is wet. I kept noticing the back...

    RCGF 120

You mean the DA100 muffs fit the rcg 120? Do they also fit the DA120? For some reason I thought the DA100 and DA120 muffs were different.

Smoking hot on the east coast today...'posed to be around a 100 and with this humidity. Not gonna melt everything I have. I went out the other day and some of the velcro adhesive I have on my batteries actually melted and came off. Sweat all in your eyes and such....have to throw the towel in...

I am glad it survived, too. You know you never want anyone to lose or damage a plane. Some planes seem to stick to us more than others and that is how my old EF 50cc is. Even though I fly two 35% birds, there is something "special" about that 50cc EF that I cannot explain. Kind of like a family...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

It was an interesting flying day yesterday evening. It was if something odd was in the air. One guy left his aileron connectors for his bipe at home - too far to go home and get it. Another guy left his radio and went home and got that. Another guy's plane would not run worth a darn and...

I picked up a used 35% H9 Extra 260 with a DA 100 (older model engine). Plane, engine, and servos are immaculate - not even any oil stains on the cans or cowl. When I saw it I could not believe it was in that good of condition. Not even a blemish on the cover anywhere, except maybe a few tiny...

It is the aerobeez 330SC Extra, yellow, white, and black profile. Certainly not a bro approved slab - nonetheless a lot of fun. I bought it at a swap meet about 3 years ago. I busted up the fuse once by a high speed spiral into the ground, but I rebuilt it. Got a DLE 20cc on it.

After retiring my glow stuff and running gas for years now, it is SO hard to even consider anything NOT gas! I so hope to see the smaller gas engines get better as I think we will see the smaller profiles become more popular. On those days when I am too lazy to get out my giant scale planes, I...

Wrinkled covering SO gets on my nerves! Out of all the technology we have on RC planes covering has got to be about the lamest.

    Curious. Ethanol or not

No issues with Ethanol gas after flying it for about five years now. About the only thing that might occur is the Walbro rubber fuel pump diaphragm could have problems over time, but Walbro has the other diaphragms that you can put in. I used to run tygon line but quit using that. I did not...

Funtime Virginia Aeronuts June 4th Fly-in

Looks like I could make this event, the only problem is I don't have any slabs to fly. The closest thing I got resembling a slab is an Aerobeez 20cc profile that is a lot of fun to fly, but not a slab. Of course since I fly large gassers and I am not a 3d expert the 20cc profile does me well for...
