    DA 120 with onboard Tach.

Hey guys, so I got my hall sensor - all looks good. What do you recommend for securing the screws that hold the sensor in place so they don't vibrate loose? Normally I would use thread-lock but seem to remember thread-lock and aluminum aren't a good combination?

    DA 120 with onboard Tach.

Thanks for this thread @49dimes - super helpful. I've got the sensor shown below on the way to attach to my DA-120. From the picture is looks like I will be able to orient the semi-conductor as necessary to get a reading. I plan to attach the Hall sensor to the Jeti MRPM-AC telemetry sensor...

    IMAC Incidence Meters

Apologies for posting this in the "build threads" section, it seemed the most appropriate place to put a question about a build tool. I'd like to buy an incidence meter suitable for use with giant scale (up to 40% planes). I wanted to get the Hangar 9 AnglePro along with the extension bar, but...

    Coming to the IMAC UK

Was great to fly with you Adi, see you in 2016 ;) Cheers, Arun

    RC Propeller Database by Lojik

@Lojik - I tried to submit data for my three-blade prop on DA120 that I use for IMAC. Is there a way to say how many blades a prop has in the database? It seems implied that all props are two-blade?

First 100cc and IMAC dedicated plane

Another +1 for the EF 104" Extra. I use mine in Sportsman class UK with a DA120. Same airframe, same engine won the Unlimited class at a recent UK event so clearly well up to the task...

    Preventative Maintenance

I use Trello to track all my maintenance and build projects. You can colour code tasks which I find useful. I use red meaning no flying until done, green meaning nice to have such as ironing a corner of covering.

    IMAC JTEC 2.7m Extra 300CS

@Alky6 - for reference what size speed squares are in the pic below. Assume the big one is 12"?

IMAC JTEC/ Radiowave 3.1m competition series

Thanks. I'm going to need to build a new surface but I have the space in my workshop so that's good :)

IMAC JTEC/ Radiowave 3.1m competition series

Thinking about one of these myself. What's the minimum workbench length I would need to build it?

Show us your IMAC transmitter setups

@Capcanuck thanks! That's exactly the kind of thing I was thinking would be worth sharing. Come on guys, surely there's more! :)

Show us your IMAC transmitter setups

I was hoping this thread would go beyond individual Tx models - most mid-range upward Tx support flight conditions. Really just interested to see how people organise their different conditions/rates, turn them on and off (automatic/manual) and use them to improve their sequence flying. Clearly...

Show us your IMAC transmitter setups

I thought it might be helpful to start a thread where people could post their IMAC transmitter setups. I'm a relative newcomer to IMAC and am just starting to develop a setup that works well for me - it would be great to hear as many different perspectives on this as possible. As an example my...

    Desert Aircraft Owners

What sort of stable idle RPM would you expect to get on a well run in DA-120? Mine has had about 4 gallons through it so not fully run in but I'm struggling to get it to idle reliably anywhere near 1300 without it loading up and dying within 10-20 secs. Prop is a Mejzlik 25x12 3-blade, oil is...

    IMAC JTEC 2.7m Extra 300CS

Out of interest, how many metres (or feet) of covering film would you expect an aircraft of this size to need?

    IMAC JTEC 2.7m Extra 300CS

Looking great! I have one of these pencilled in for my next build... but have to ship it to UK :) Thanks for a great build thread...

Servo Arms for 100cc (2.6m) IMAC Airframe

@Capt.Roll, thanks for the info. I currently fly Sportsman using a 50cc airframe with 1.5" arms all around - tamed with dual-rates. The info you gave is very valuable as the deflections you have in degrees for those arms are around what I'm looking for - obviously it's airframe specific, but...

Servo Arms for 100cc (2.6m) IMAC Airframe

Thanks @bobzilla, but I'm not building this plane for future buyers, I'm building it for me! With that in mind, I'd still like to find the shortest arms people are using for IMAC on this size of plane. Using dual-rates to control throws is fine, but I don't want to do it at the expense of servo...
