3D Edge 540 Profile Build (Glitter JR)

Always "Fun" to see cool fun planes come to life. And is it really a coincidence we use the same glues? NOT .

I’m going out flying thread 2019

How do you like the Acromaster "Pro" for agility/stability/power? Got my eye on it ya know. Always room for another "chunk O foam" ;).

Cool two flight video by Orel Zohar

Yep! He sure can fly em! I did like the comparison flights of the LX and Lazer. Extra LX seemed a bit more docile/agile and controllable in low and slow over the Lazer. HE flight across the deck is something my old bones never gonna learn.... unless I want to buy more Pilot airframes sooner than...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

So I just happened to have a brand new RcExcel AO2 inside the Cub. Being the Cub is getting a new 35cc engine one day I just went ahead and stole it :sneaky:. Also I find it very interesting that Pilot laser cuts their tie wrap openings perfectly for the RcExcel A02 ignition :sneaky::sneaky:.

New Product 60cc laser-88" prototype testing

I know "Exactly" what you mean :big-grin:. This is fuselage No.2 (V2). The V1 fuse I had broke in half :cryin:. The V2 design looks to be a LOT stronger and lighter than the V1. Really like how the fuse CF stringers go further forward. I will be sure to take it "more gentle" with this one :).

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Just got finished hanging up the plane and putting everything away for now. My new shop table doubles as a engine test bed (on plane of course) and the plane "Hanger / Hauler" fits perfectly inside the lip that goes around the table. Anyway got everything set up outside and it was a fairly quick...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

First off.....I had installed 1/4-20 blind nuts over the 5mm nuts in the wings 3 years ago when I first assembled this ARF. The 5mm threads were poor and difficult to start the bolt. I remember when using 1/4-20 hex caps it was difficult getting the four bolts snug with a hex wrench (A bit...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Just took some shots of the finished plane powered up and assembled for flight. The custom wing bolts I made work great and go on / off quickly and easily. Everything working and ready to run. Hope to Maiden soon :)

Maybe you need to have sanded a bit more. Looks as if you did not get any "penetration" on the surface indicating the need for more sanding. Also what grit did you use? I would think a good going over with 220 grit would do the trick. But as it stands now I would use some 150 grit to get rid of...

New Product 60cc laser-88" prototype testing

Thank You @Pilot-RC :way_to_go: . I was able to see that the airframe was probably set with a slightly aft CG. Seemed to stall at very low speed and I did notice the left wing tip drop a bit. Going to Maiden my Extra 330sc 78" very soon. DL 50 and canister for power. A bit higher wing loading...

New Product 60cc laser-88" prototype testing

It's great that the "Test Pilot" has excellent skills but I would also like to see some action of a new plane on how stable it is in very slow and stalled flight and how well it lands even being slightly tail heavy. Are the CG marks you put on your planes set at Neutral or slightly nose heavy?

He's a pleasure to have around. Brings me lots of comfort. He will soon be 11 years old. I have rigorously tried keeping his hair from falling off (skin allergies). Can say the same for myself but with NO results :face-palm:. "Mirror Mirror on the wall" or should I say "Help Mr. Wizard Help!"...

Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

Have to agree. Nice Eagle! What's your power up front? I flew the GP 1/3 scale like Bart's with a Saito 300 twin. Plenty of power and it flew great but you could not fly it too slow and landings had to be "hot" with a nice long run way. Flew very much like a heavy war bird.
