This build has me really intrigued to the methods and materials used in construction. Looking forward to your continued progress Paul.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Spent some time "upgrading" my QQ300 with left over parts from my crashed QQCap232EX. The original QQ300 had (IMO) very poor elevator and poor rudder authority limiting the plane to mild and not wild performance. So out with the weak DS19 servos and in with the HV DS33 servos :D. I also...

@WMcNabb @Snoopy1 Always willing to help and I don't consider myself an "expert" but rather a person who is determined NOT to let some gizmo kick my a## :beaten:. lol The Aura8 comes either "pre-programmed" for the particular plane it is in or "open stock" . Open stock units lend them selves...

    Scale Don Smith P-51 Mustang

Have not heard any "Yaken" here lately Rob. Those read heads feeling a "cold" shoulder ? Or has the mighty King Kholm put those reds to bed for a bit?

Know exactly what you mean :). But technically.....I have had this plane for over three years now and still working the bugs out. "Your not getting older...Your getting better" Just does not seem to fit me these days :lol2:. Plane 3 years ago...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I got my combo "shop table test bed" outdoors today and gave the old DL50 a few flips. Viola! New A02 ignition works perfect :). However. Whilst shaking down the engine and fuse all the servo arm screws came loose :concern:. Appears the 23T spline wheels I used to make my arms are way to...

If I were to get back in the really big stuff I would look for the good ol' "Work-Horse" too ;). I did order up a new DLE35RA with Bowman ring for your old Cub. It should be a bit more responsive with it :).

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Thanks for the scoop on them. Do you think if it were "Marginal Use" tool it might have some longevity ? And my plan was not to use them to torque with but locate and install. Then come back with a torquer driver.

I finally did something today. Can I get a pay raise now? Boy when it comes to my chunk O foams the "little QQ300 that could" has handled my abuse the best. Another battle scar but yet it remains an attractive plane to me o_O. One thing for sure....5 min epoxy would be best for...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

As do I. I think I'm going to try their (Bondhus) newer "locking tip" driver (Pro Hold). Maybe my smaller hex bolts wont find that "Black Hole" that hides on my floors :ooh?:.

Wanted Dave Patrick Ultimate 120 Plans

That's a great idea. I do see the CG plans and kits pop up time to time on ebay. And more than likely on other forums as well.

Wanted Dave Patrick Ultimate 120 Plans

Best to my knowledge The "Dave Patrick" Ultimate 120 was only offered as an ARC or ARF. No plans. I got a buddy, who still avidly builds, who has the upper wing and parts of a lower wing that he has held on too for years. Would you be interested if I put you in touch with him? I do need to...

    PAU Ultimate assembly

@acerc @Snoopy1 seems like all three of us have been down the "Ultimate" road to adventure when it comes to a biplane. I too have enjoyed many Ultimate biplanes in years gone by and I agree with ace about the Skybolt being more like a pitts but the one I built was heavy and higher wing...
