Scale 1/3 Scale Extra 330L Build.

I have been a printing pressman for 40 years. I always had to mix ink to exactly match the product.

    Blue or cyan should work.

    The Knife Edge Spin

I have tried to do a knife edge spin many times. Only get it right now and then.

Maybe you can check with a local vinyl sign shop. I always go to one near me and they give me their scraps. The Scraps I get are big enough to cover a plane! I use them to make decals for my planes. They usually have lots of colours and some do match my covering. Sometimes they will cut a small...

Scale 1/3 Scale Extra 330L Build.

I will give it a try later this weekend. I also used vinyl to wrap a cowl, that work well.

Yes A gent a few years ago posted that he always does it on FG. He told me it works best on a unpainted cowl. Said you couldn't do it if the cowl was painted.

And that is where Monokote shines. I am going to try to use monokote to cover a cowl soon. I hear that its done and done well so I have to try it.

I give you credit for working with Ultracote. I recovered a plane for a friend using Ultracote and fought with it the entire time. Still prefer monocote.

I would check the Badan website. I am sure that it could be bought separately.

Starting to look like a plane. Saved a pound with the cut outs in the wing and ailerons. Both are still very stiff. Better than most ARFs.

I find it hardens the balsa in a slight way. Not as many iron dents.

I admire the work you are doing. That plane will look beautiful when done.

Magnus Effect Aeroplane...it shouldn't fly but it does!

Kind of destroys the down wind stall! It kept the blades turning even down wind.

Thanks for that snoop, I also sand down to 600 and always wondered if it really made a difference. My good flying friend always laughed at me for doing that. He built beautiful scale planes and would sand to 150. I also use the hairspray, I do find it helps.

Keep a spray bottle with water in it ready snoops, the small dents and sometime the larger dents will come out of balsa with a little spray of water.

First wing done :) All the sanding was worth it! Turned out very good. I'm happy! Still have the final cutting of lightening cut outs to do but that will wait till I have the second wing at the same stage. It is not an easy kit for me to build, I guess I am more used to traditional builds of a...
