3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

Yes if I was doing more of these that would be the way to go!

3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

Yes Snoop, that would be a much better idea for me. Actually has me thinking (something I don't do much of :(). A bit of a story here. I was running my DA70 in my driveway this summer trying to get the darn thing to run right. A young man from just down the road comes up to me to see, said he...

3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

Yes Snoop, that would be the best way to go. But this is the first foam wing/plane I have done in 35 years. If I was to build more planes this way I would look into a vacuum system. I know I would get better results. Plus I am 35 years older now and have had two major spine operations and...

3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

True but it very easy when the sheeting is laying flat on my sheet of glass to get it prefect. There is a lot of sanding but I almost have the tail feathers ready to laminate to the foam now. That will be next for me and am a little worried about this! Wish me luck!!

They tell you to wrap the leading edge of all with 1mm balsa, I have done it that way with everything so far. I have been soaking the balsa, taping it to the edges and letting it dry in position. Come back and glue on using the west epoxy system. But.... I don't like the idea of only having 1mm...

3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to show you more about the hinge system, that part of this build on the tail feathers was part done. I will be able to show you much more when I do the wings, same system. Edge trimming the sheets. Taping together. Glueing More sanding when dry. Down to...

For this type of kit its nice to work on a glass surface, easy to scrape the glue off! Cause I'm good at making a frigging mess!

Working on putting the nyrod bearings in.. Cutting them flush... I should add that the rudder and elevator were glued together before I received this kit.

3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

Ya almost! (I wish!) Yes the Vertigo from Badan kits is a totally different type of build that I am used to. As I said I bought this kit that had been partially built. When I pulled up beside the gent that sold it to me in a parking lot it seemed like he had a van load of foam! That is what...

I finally have a build worth posting here. I received a part built 2 meter Vertigo last weekend. Still a long way to go with it. I am having a hard time posting pictures, sorry.

I have been using the silicone tubing for years, works well for me. Very tired of the cheap single wire tailwheels most ARF's include thou.
