IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

I did forget to breath, and when I finally did I somehow choked myself! So I literally and figuratively choked!

IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

Or read, read, read as much as you can on all the sites about IMAC. Judges will be discussing on how certain maneuvers are scored and I learned a lot that way. Also ask questions, IMAC people are very willing to answer. I have a few go-to guys that are judges I will email when something has me...

IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

I did go to my first contest last year. And wow did I suck! Everything I had practiced I left at home, I'm going to blame it on nerves but totally forgot about using my left hand!! First time in front of many people (and judges!!) really got to me. But... It was a great experience, and no one...

IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

Okay, great if you some help near by. But in my case, I'm the only one in my area that interest in IMAC. Any advice? Video it? Or just talk to yourself and make notes?

    3D Restoring The Yak

Hey Rob, for poops and giggles, next time try a little heat with the gun first and use a little packing tape over those remaining covering spots. I found that works real well for me. Your bird is turning out GREAT!!

    Any Monokote users here?

Another problem I had with monoloe is that I bought two 25 foot rolls and both rolls had dust trapped between the two layers. I guess quality is not as good as it use to be!

    Any Monokote users here?

Tell me about it, it's a 42%er that I'm covering!!!

    Any Monokote users here?

I had some 20 year old rolls of white, but didn't have enough for the plane I was working on at the time. Got some new rolls to finish the plane, the color still matched and I found it still worked the same but it doesn't stick as well. The plane I'm working on now just sitting on the bench I...

FAA Announces their rules for radio controlled aircraft

I hope it gets worked out soon. Could be a real problem for the IMAC group. The IMAC worlds in 2018 in the US could be a very boring event.

FAA Announces their rules for radio controlled aircraft

And we Canadians are **** out of luck if we want to come down for a visit with our planes, only US citizens can apply for the FAA permit. So we can't fly legally.

    3D Restoring The Yak

Oh and and Pilot landing gear sucked!! Very weak and wasn't stiff enough for a grass field. But again, its a 35cc.

    3D Restoring The Yak

Just have a 35cc Yak 55. I must have gotten a Friday afternoon model or Monday morning, had lots of problems getting it to fly right. Thrust issues, incidence problems, got it worked out but it still isn't as much fun to throw around as the 54 was.

    3D Restoring The Yak

Not a Yak, a 42% Dietrich slick. Just got to finish the wings and do some kind of scheme. Seen lots of the Suk's fly, never flown one but they look good. Still strikes me that the Sukhoi is better for IMAC style flying while the Yak 54 seems to like to be thrown around in 3D. Just my...
