    New Spektrum Powersafe Receivers

If JR goes under, which I seriously doubt they will, I will go back with Spektrum, simply because they have PowerSafe Rxs.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Finally got the Laser done to be resold back to its original owner. Found a new broken hinge on one of the stabs. So, I'm opting to buy a new set. $60 for the pair and then shipping. Oh well. Unexpected expense, but ot will Chad happy.

Some would say yes, and some would say no. Covering technique is all the same, but how and where you start is a bit different. Like you have seen, if you seal all the edges, you have nowhere for the gases to escape from, leaving you a huge gas pocket between the surface and covering. I have...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Lay your piece down, and work from the center outwards. I like to run lengthwise on a fully sheeted surface, then work the leading edge, then ghe trailing edge. I dont pull the covering tight, by hand. I just pull it taught, then iron it down. With that method, I have yet to get a bubble or...

Worked on my 93" AJ Laser, that will be finding its prior home, again soon. Got a repair kit from Tim at AJA. I have known Tim and Andrew when I flew in 1 pattern contest back in 2000, with a Tipo, in Sportsman. I didnt want to cut up the new engine box parts, but I decided that it would be...

Help! Extreme Flight Extra 300 advice needed!!

There have been people put 85s on the 91". But most everyone is putting some type of a 70 twin or 60 and pipe on them. I say, if you have the engine, why not. You can always throttle back, can never throttle up past wide open.

He is mostly a 1 man show, from what I understand. I guess hus wife passed away mid part of the year, and sluffed off on a few things. Sounds to me like he is getting back into the groove of things. :)

Glued up hinges for my 93" AJ repair. Pops n I went to a swap meet this morning. I swear! These people get cheaper and cheaper when it comes to this stuff. I basically "give" away a box of glow engines for $120. Mind you this.... There wasnt 4 engines in that box. Try 25, including a rear...

Cant go wrong with either servo. The Pro Modelers are a bit more cost effective, too. I have several of the Savox 1270, 2270 in airplanes.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Got a few more hinges glued up on the FW 190. Found out that the hatches were made wrong (almost typical for a Chinese ARF). Servo output shaft was not in the right location for the control horns. If I would have seen that prior to cutting for the control horns, I would have moved the control...
