@Bartman .....good to hear! I bought it used and it was already covered in that scheme (I really like BTW). I just added my equipment and blinged it out a bit with the pilot, panel back and some pinstriping. Shelby is doing great. Wonderful dog, smart, easy to train, loves our granddaughters...

New Pilot for my Carden Pro 124

Yeah.....between the 170 weighing a couple pounds lighter than the 200, plus the pipes running that far back I ended up moving all the switches, regs, Rx's, and batts up front. Batts are two Fromeco 7800mAh against the back of the motorbox. Two Sahara regs, two Futaba Rx's and two switches. CG...

New Pilot for my Carden Pro 124

The biggest PITA for me was installing pipes in an already built fuse that wasn't set up for pipes! RE3's with 14" headers are LOOOOOOONG! I opened up some of the fuse bottom for access....but between working thru that and reaching down through the fuse truss structure it was somewhat of a...

It's a 6" table from Grizzly. http://www.grizzly.com/products/Combination-Rotary-Table-6-/G1049 I bought the mill and a bunch of accessories a few years ago, used, from a friend. Probably paid 1/2 what it would cost new.

Go for it. I've learned a lot using this thing. Have butchered up some stuff too :devil-dance:. Still don't know a 10th of what can be done, but have fun finding out. A little lathe is very handy for modeling as well. picked up a used jeweler's lathe years ago. Turned these canopy bolt...

HarHar....I seem to recall that plane....from a past life! I thought about polished aluminum...for about 3 seconds LOL. Trying to keep weight down since I did put pipes in this thing too. and then Max.....and , and, and ....

New Pilot for my Carden Pro 124

Thanks....didn't keep track of time, but it took a few evenings. I have a Grizzly mill/drill. the initial plate was 1" thick so I did the mount in two pieces (fore and aft). Also have a rotary table for the mill so turning the posts was easy. I also installed two steel locating collars on...

Evidently it didn't like Chrome so switched to MS Edge and things went smoother. Managed to incorporate the 2.5 deg offset into the mount as well. TONS of aluminum shaving went into the shop vac!!!
