Helicoil to repair stripped muffler bolts

I have used the a helicoil on a stripped muffler bolt and had zero problems after. I recommend doing that if at all possible. I'm a mechanic so I like bolts to match up.

Scale MattyMatt's Exclusiv Modellbau 50% Challenger II

Thanks for the opinion Matt. I just love Yaks and am trying to give myself an excuse to try it instead of the MEL. Great job on the build so far!

Scale MattyMatt's Exclusiv Modellbau 50% Challenger II

Wow, looking forward to seeing this go along. Sorry to go off topic, but I Have a quick question for you Matt. I know you're a dalton guy, have you had any experience with the dalton yak? I'm torn on building an MEL extra or the yak. It will be IMAC purposed. I already have a non-MEL version.

    Moving up to 100cc questions

Forgot to mention, if you are going to use cans and can afford them, the plane bender smooth pipes are supposed to be wicked. I'm ordering some for my da170 this fall. They are quiet and give a very smooth throttle curb with enormous power. Man I want some.

    Moving up to 100cc questions

to start, I would lose the ibec. I'm pretty sure those servos can handle a123 voltage. Haven't used those engines, but I'm sure they would fly that plane wonderfully. I run an eme 120 on my pilot 107" extra with pro flows and it's crazy good. Those 1270s.

    Electric Pilots.

I know it's far from a giant scale plane, but I'm about to kit a Sig Kadet LT-25 that will be an electric night flyer. Not sure what I'm going to power it with though. I'll start a build thread when I get to the lighting and covering part.

This really gives the hobby a bad name and some clubs are alot like this

This makes me very thankful of the two clubs I belong to. This kind of thing will never happen. I feel like we even come on a little strong sometimes to newcomers.

    Snapasaurus - The Facts.

Snapasaurus is a trend setter... One day while flying, Jessica Alba was calling a maneuver for him and after witnessing it, she said ever-so-seductively: "Oh Snap". Thus the phrase was born.

Passed through the 700 member mark last night!

Wow, that's awesome! It's pretty easy to see why though, Bart and Steve have done a stand up job! I wonder what 50cc plane I need to look into buying :witless:

    Knife edge spin.

I was trying this on my 107" pilot extra last weekend and had the hardest time getting into this maneuver. I finally gave up and tried a blender, accidentally gave the wrong sticks and got it into the knife edge spin, everyone though it was intentional... I decided to let them continue to the...

    Show us your bling.

Very cool, I always love doing these kind of things, I actually shot clear coat with blue pearl over my canopy plastic to catch the sun, it doesn't pop as much as I thought it would, but still looks cool. How hard was it to spray one even coat of the silver?

So where is everyone from? Countries? States?

I've thought very seriously about moving up to that area. We visited the Colorado Springs area a couple of months ago and fell in love! I was a little concerned about the winters. I'm from Norman, OK so I'm used to some crazy weather, but don't know quite how bad it gets up there.

    Show us your bling.

I was finishing a guys plane this last weekend and decided to "bling" up my spinner with some of the paint. I think it turned out pretty darn good actually.

    2-stroke oil,what works,what doesn't

I used to use Echo brand, which worked fine but was a little dirty. Now I use Redline 40:1 and it makes great power and is very clean. Internals still look like new after 2 years of flying. I can't believe I just replied to an oil thread...

Banter about me SleepyC on FG.

I'm more and more impressed with you sleepy after every post I read. I bet it felt much better deleting that draft than typing it. I'm also willing to bet that after reading that post, and seeing what all happened over "there", we all pretty much know the gist of what happened, and that is...
