Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

That’s what I want to hear. Ride it hard and put it up wet.

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

If looking for a metric sized wing tube then look for at least a 19mm OD tube. Smaller might be fine if you just plan to do low and slow stuff but if this plane flys as it should and it should it will be much like the other versions of the glitter and will be able to really WAD up tight doing...

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

That will work. Don’t use fiberglass for the wing tube though. It needs to be aluminum or carbon fiber.

Yes PM me your email. I wouldn’t trust 5/8” for wing tube on this size plane. Did you look at tnt landing gear.

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

Once I find the template another guy had posted for his landing gear I will share it but I know it was 1/8” thick and he had cut it at a taper so needs to be around 1-1/2” at the tube. The tubes I have I bought from a buddy who was selling all of his stuff. I would advise before drilling those...

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

option 1 for a tube if going for carbon fiber. 16mm is just ever so slightly bigger than a 5/8" tube. You would have to adjust the slot in the motor mount ever so slightly. only adjust on the bottom of the slot as the top of the tube is already designed to have the wing tube phenolic in the fuse...

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

As I have it designed the landing gear is to be made of aluminum flat stock but you can do wire gear if you prefer. Choices on the tube is all up to the builder. you can go with a cheap 5/8" aluminum tube if you want from lowes or home depot. Down side is in a hard dork it will bend and you will...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Emailed both of you sets of the plans. Also in respect to the plans choose your own way of bolting on the wings. I normally go through a hatch in the wing with a single bolt passing all the way through to a blind nut in the other wing. When I drew these plans the guy that was itching to build it...

My wife and I plan to get a CNC router this year and I will be able to cut some stuff but will be more for her to run a small business with. Never flown a mojo65 but everybody always said they fly great but are heavy and underpowered with a 20 on them. They are heavy because of how the fuse is...

@Snoopy1 and @AKNick here are some images of the edge profile plans. I forgot to bring my laptop home and have today off. I will get the pdf plans to both of you tomorrow. I drew the fuse two different ways. I personally think the first way will be a bit stronger but probably ever so slightly...
