Hmmm I think I need to make a new wall hanger for my chisels so the mallet has a slot of its own.

I can send you the plans for the 20cc edge if you would like. The 60” laser is one of my buddies designs. He wanted a profile that would be similar to his 60” EF Laser. He drew it all by hand on paper and once he was done sent me the plans so I could then transfer that to a CAD drawing. It could...

Let’s see there is the 40 sized edge profile that is really my buddies design but I had input in it. Aka “the Glitter” The small Electric edge “glitter JR” The 55cc “The Big Tiddy” this was before CAD and just on paper at home. Did a small Electric cub profile “ChubCub” also before cad but...

For me I have been doing everything in regular 2D. You can draw in 3D with regular AutoCAD and I have tried but it’s not very intuitive for me at least. When I’m ready that’s when I will move to fusion 360 and it’s run by autodesk. I guess for me every plane I have designed so far has been a...

If looking for stuff to do 3D printing I have heard great things about using fusion 360 and it’s free if you list yourself as a hobbyist.

I use the student version of AutoCAD. I can download any version back to 2012 I think but I was running 2015 since that what the class I took was taught on.

I just enjoy drawing things and I thought you had said you wanted something along the lines of an Extra. MAybe I'm thinking of someone else. LOL I will send them over in a bit. It's based around the other edge profiles I have done so it should fly very similar.

That’s the way most are here but since I use the student version I have the entire program installed. Fuse thickness will be up to you. I have seen them be made 1/2”, 5/8”, and 3/4”. Personally I like 5/8” thick and use a .605 tube. 1/2” doesn’t save enough weight for how much it will start to...

Lol. Still trying to get up with the IT guy at work to install CAD on the new laptop they issued me. Company wide they got rid of everything that was running windows 7 or older so my old laptop had to go.

Was given this today. Apparently it’s designed by Lyle Larson and is called Dago Red. 56” span hollow molded wing. Guy said it flew off of a .40 two stroke. I’m thinking it needs to be electric as I’m done with glow fuel. Wing has slight damage to the LE in one spot but otherwise it’s in good...

The outer casing parts that where all painted and will get repainted got put in the sandblaster. All internal parts where put in a heated parts washer and some red Scotch brite pads used on stubborn stuff. The fan blade and blade guard are aluminum and I plan to polish them up really nice so I...

    Discussion Flap/Elevator mix a' la C/L Stunt

I have never done it with any of my full fuse planes but I have with my profiles and it works well. The trick I have found is not to use to much flap. I started off trying a 100% mix between the do and found it did very little and after talking with a probro buddy he told me he runs less flaps...
