The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

My Timber X is officially on FrSky guidance. Still a little more programming to do though. Got it fully setup with barn door ailerons but now need to get the programming into it for the full span ailerons and once I get the proper 8 channel receiver I will get crow and and full span flaps...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

I ordered mine from tire rack. Discount tire also has them as well as a few other places. All prices are within a few cent of each other for the size I needed.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Mine will be installed on Wednesday but they look great and I have heard good things. Honestly wasn't much more either. I think these where about 10 bucks more per tire than the normal street tires I put on the truck last time.

Cool. I’m pretty sure my local hobby shop has had one sitting in there for a couple years now. May cut a good deal on it for me. Though I may be mistaken and it could be the Pitts S1 they did.

3D Edge 540 Profile Build (Glitter JR)

Don’t plan on building anything anytime soon but I have plans that I have drawn up for three different birds in that size. One is a 20cc version of the plane in this thread, the other is the Giles, and I did a SU-29 for a buddy. I’m not exactly happy with the design of the SU but it’s done up...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

They are General Grabber AT/x which is the same thing as a BFG All Terrain just cheaper. It’s a good all around street tire with some grip for off road stuff. I just have a 2wd pick up truck but I wanted a tire that looks good and for times when it snows and I still have to go to work I wasn’t...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Got tired of just setting my planes in the back of the truck laying on the tails or hacking a cardboard box for transport. This morning I took some regular ole dollar tree foam board and made this up. Had some 2” thick foam I used at each end with slots cut to wedge the parts down in it. Holds...
