    I am in central VA - about 30 miles west of Richmond. I am a member and fly at Southside VA RC in the Crewe, VA area and Central VA rc in Powhatan, VA. I also hit a few other area clubs for events and so forth. Yep, you are more than welcome to delete that double post if you want.

    Judge the problem is many of the clubs are taking their own stand with registration and some of us cannot really control that. Some clubs are so regimented that they will police it. Not a big deal, but just another aggravation for club members to have a club VIP bugging them about their FAA card.

    Yep, I am familiar with your club as well. Ben V. flies with you guys. He told me about them closing that field and then shortly after it was opened back up. There may be a couple of guys that would not be too far from you or the Aeronuts' field. I am not sure though. I fly at Southside RC...

    I have flown at your club before at a fun fly event. I think it was two years ago. I won the swanyhouse raffle prize you had. Knowing your location, I do understand why your club thinks it best to register. I am in two different clubs in my neck of the woods and neither has had their meetings...

    BRRRRRRRRRRRR...... I am pretty good once it hits 50s. I do fly some in the 40s but not much at all.

    For some reason now days I cannot take the cold like this anymore. I love to fly, but not enough to embrace the teens anymore. Fingers feel like they are falling off when it is that cold! Some tell me it is just called "aging"....:D

    This is the same boat I am in. Makes it difficult because there are no non-AMA clubs in my area. Unless I buy land and have my own field I am sunk all the way around.

    Agreed, definitely not a bash PAU post that I did. I was merely stating facts of my experience so that others may have the information for their learning. To me bashing PAU would be much different. I am sorry that the post was perceived as bashing and taken in the wrong light.

    Very interesting. About two years ago I built a Pitts Bulldog and the bottom wing dihedral was not correct. It comes with a wooden piece that has the dihedral preset. You just put the wood piece in and assemble the wings and they are supposed to be correct. I epoxied them and they fit perfectly...

    I have the EF 104 as well with a DA 120, cans, and a CF prop - power is totally insane! If I nail it on takeoff it jumps off the ground in about 5-10 feet if that much! I thought the EF 88" Extra flew well, but the EF 104 is a sweet flying plane. Not sure you will tame the DA 120 down though...
