The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Besides digging the Velox back out and getting everything set back up to get that thing done, I also took care of a bit of a problem with the 106cs powered Pilot Edge. Upon returning home from flying it this past weekend, I noticed some sludgey residue on the one MTW 75 canister and bottom of...

Question? What's good in cheap servos these days?

May I offer a little assistance? In my trusty old Hitec Aurora 9x and the new Graupner MZ32, there is a menu from a sub menu that will open a parameter for "SERVO SPEED". On the Hitec, a value of 0.0 to 7.0 can be selected. With 7.0 being the slowest. It increases in .1 increments. Example; 5.4...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Sorry friend. It actually got up to 55 here today. Had I known the weather would be so nice, I would have attempted a little Turkey day flying myself. I decided to stay in doors and watch t.v. instead. LOL

IMAC Aero Tech 35% Velox Custom Build

The DS Mustang is looming ever closer and I need to get this done before I can move on to that project. With the Kolm tres cylinder on the way, I know I am not going to want to do anything when it gets here except play with them gorgeous....umm, cylinders. So to do a little catch up, this is...

Question? What's good in cheap servos these days?

Yes sir, you are correct. Hypothetical example... if I have servos capable of 4096 resolution and a radio system capable of only 1024, my servos will not be able to reach their full potential. As they are a listening device. They can do what you want. But can't because the radio does not have...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Woah...dude. Beautiful. Really! So regarding the springs... I tried and I tried and I tired until I was so freaking furious to keep springs just right on my planes. Baby ate springs like they were going out of style. The Sukhoi simply would not turn correctly. And the Behemoth Yak? Yeah, not...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

It is indeed right? I personally can not see anything more elaborate or appealing than my simple $1000.00 MZ32. I am pleased enough with the Graupner I am now in the process of ordering seven receivers to start swapping out the Aurora 9x. I dunno...I think if you are going to spend that much...

    Scale Don Smith P-51 Mustang

So I wasn't going to say anything because I have been so back and forth on this project and the engine choice. I had ultimately decided to get the 3wi r2 cs for the Mighty Stang. Those of you that have been following along closely know the reasons why. It truly was an exhaustive search that left...

Not much of a happy camper tonight. Been trying to reach Darrell at Sierra all day. Each time I have called him over the last couple of weeks, I keep getting the same response. "We are working on them, they will be ready to go out Wednesday, Friday, Monday....UGH". And here it is once again...

    Scale 35% Krill Extra 330SC....CUSTOM-ARF!!!

Since they are an efficient form of aerodynamic counterbalance that serves to reduce the effort needed on the stick to actuate the aileron, I would imagine it would make the aileron very ultra sensitive. And since they also serve to bring the centre of mass of the aileron forward of the hinge...
