    Eflite Beast 60e

Ohh, I'm fine with gyros...it's just disappointing that this plane seems like it needs gyros, that's all. (I don't feel like it should, but what do I know) The Sebart doesn't need gyros. The old skool Zero-G Pitts Python definitely didn't need gyros...and that was even smaller. Bottom line is...

Assign your guardian's gain to a slider and try flying it with no stabilization and let us know how you like it.

    Eflite Beast 60e

It's very odd that that Beast60E flies so poorly...considering the Sebart Pitts Python doesn't fly bad at all...just not amazing. Ohh well, I wonder how soon the price will drop on the 60e and it hits the chopping block.

Servo setup: EPA, current, and linkages

I disagree. This picture shows what 3dbandit is shooting for on the left set of servos. I aim for the pushrod to be no further than perpendicular to the hinge-line when at min and max throws. (what is displayed on the right-side of the above picture.)

Aztech Aeromodels Spot on Version2 Servo Arms

Was just curious. When the V1s went on sale I did some quick research to see if I could save money and everything I saw said 6061 was stronger. (I ordered a bunch of V1s over the winter from Aztek, btw) This seems to be an example of a company (spot-on) using the term "better" and many folks...

Aztech Aeromodels Spot on Version2 Servo Arms

Azhar, can you explain how 6063 is an upgrade from 6061? From everything I see, 6061 is actually stronger. I'm no expert in this though. I looked it up when you first came out with the V2s....

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

I have always run LiPos in my planes and have never had an issue.

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

I was going by Fromeco's "Usable Capacity" rating of their 2600 which is 2300. But, I'll agree. It costs two dollars more, weighs 1.4oz more, and has ~20C more power. I will trade 1.4oz (more like 3oz in a 50-60cc plane) and $2 for ~20C more power. It really doesn't matter what packs you...

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

I'll end with re-iterating my first point on Safety. Also, please remember, we're talking about Li-Po packs USED FOR RX power...they'll almost never approach their full C rating in usage. I agree that Li-Ions are a little safer then Li-Po packs. That does not automatically make Li-POs more...

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

Enjoy your 8-ball load testers. My comment about possibly using an 8-ball on Li-Po packs was kind of round-about. I wanted people to realize that you don't NEED to load test Lipos. My no fly voltage is 3.8V per cell. DONE. no funny load testing. No chances taken. In FACT...if you want the to...

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

Who here would buy a Prius instead of a Tesla if the Tesla was cheaper? Ok, let's compare a Tesla to a ThunderPower 2S 2200. Thunderpower is an American company and all packs are assembled and tested here in the states. A ThunderPower Prolite G8 2S 25C 2100mah pack is listed at 29.99. It...

Article: Why buy Fromeco LiIon instead of LiPo for Rx power

I urge everyone to read the entire thread this came from and make your own decision on Li-Po vs. Li-Ion for Rx power. http://www.3drcforums.com/showthread.php?2214-Lipo-vs-Li-Ion&p=55644#post55644 Thank you Kurt for bringing up the Tesla and the Prius, because I explored that comparison but...
