The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I will post some pictures as I am doing it but, I don't know about a whole thread on it. My covering skills are not that good. The scheme is simple yet elegant. It is the same scheme as one of the British aerobatic pilot's 330SC :-)

IMAC Double Build, Carden Pro 124" Extra 300 40%

There are no switches on the outside of the plane at all :) Nice and clean.

IMAC Double Build, Carden Pro 124" Extra 300 40%

I am also adding 2 leds, one to indicate system power and one to indicate ignition power. They will be right behind the pilot's head so I can see them from the front of the plane. Thought about making the leds be the pilot's eyes but, didn't want to disconnect wires every time I took the canopy off.

IMAC Double Build, Carden Pro 124" Extra 300 40%

I am using the SP-06 electronic switch with the output going to a regulator to drop the voltage to 6 volts. The key is having the battery on the input side directly and the regulator on the output side of the switch. I have heard of people putting the regulator on the input side of the switch...

IMAC Double Build, Carden Pro 124" Extra 300 40%

I am using a cb200 and have 2 regulators feeding it. I use 2 5000mah 2s lipos into an electronic switch which feeds the regulators. Everything is powered on remotely from the transmitter. Ignition is on its own circuit with 2s 2550 feeding it regulated to 6 volts. It is also controlled by a...

Worked on setting up the Jeti cb200 for the Red 330lx and did some experimenting with led's. Man do I like the Jeti system :) Oh yea, also setup the rudder, choke and throttle servos :) Getting closer :)

Mounted the ZDZ-180 on the Red 330LX. Also mounted the throttle and choke servo trays, glued in the fuel tank tray and the rails for the plate to block off the carb area from the rest of the fuse :) 6S lipos make great weights for keeping things in place until the epoxy cures!

@GSNadmin this needs to be a sticky somewhere so we can find it later when we need it :) I will be using it this winter I am sure of it while creating a new IMAC master piece :)

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I have couple of small electrics, Vyper Bype and a Mini-Banshee. They are fun but, I don't see myself getting out of the 40% 330LX's that I have any time soon :-) They are much more fun to fly.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Maidened the Mini-Banshee tonight. It was a little breazy but, the plane flew quite well. It is very sensitive to the controls :) Loves to do snaps both positive and negative. Landings are a piece of cake! Not much of a 3D person so I can't give a real perspective there, sorry. I was alone so...
