The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Oh yes!!! I actually have the 176 back together and getting ready to fire it up on my Edge. The DLE-170 just doesn't have enough get-up and go for me after running the 180 on the Extra :) I am using the ProFlow large cans on the Edge so the 176 should be able to breath well enough.

One thing that is really cool with the ZDZ 180 is that it doesn't slow down on uplines even with manuevers in the upline :-)

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Another beautiful night at the field. Got 3 flights in tonight on the Extra using the Falcon 30 x 13 x3 prop. Plane pulled like a freight train and would be really high if you let it run to long.

    8th ANNUAL ROLLA BIG BIRD!

So you push it from the middle out or use the rake after you mow to pick up the grass? How short are you mowing your field?

IMAC Double Build, Carden Pro 124" Extra 300 40%

Cam, Just me thinking out loud here. Could a person replace the diagonal bracing with cf rod and save some weight? I have thought of building and just want to ask the questions before I decide what to build :-)

    8th ANNUAL ROLLA BIG BIRD!

Does your mower through it out the side or the rear? I mow our field and would much rather hve something like that than work from the inside and blow it all off the field.

    8th ANNUAL ROLLA BIG BIRD!

@Decal Dennis are you using a rotary mower for cutting the grass or is that just a lawn rake behind the mower?

    Clover Creek Invitational

IMAC was the first 40 pilots to sign up. I got in from the waiting list. Freestyle was based on invitation and application process. It was limited to 35 pilots.

I would definitely relocate the servo. Never have been a big fan of mounting them in that location due to the potential heat issues. Glad to hear that everything turned out good :)

    Clover Creek Invitational

Anyone is welcome to attend. The flying is IMAC and freestyle so it is a contest based format not just a fly in. They are having their fall fly in the end of September I believe.

    Favorite connectors

Deans on everything that connects to a battery. I am finding that soldering 6s leads to a deans connector can be very interesting. Doesn't leave a whole lot of space. Will probably try the powerpole connectors on the larger batteries for my daughters plane.
