Help! Do you recognize this clevis rod end?

You can also get 4-40 "Rod Ends" with the #202 steel straps and 4-40 threaded rod. 2 per "kit". Great for tail wires and strut attachment. I'm sure Mike will hook you up. He has hooked me up more than once :way_to_go:.

Great advice. I have done that very thing. Work great on a CM6 plug.

Was quite a chore but I did get the belly access panel done. Being I did it all by hand and sanded the edges of the openings I am going to prime and paint instead of covering it. I also made some servo arms from old mild steel arms, that came from a cheap ARF, by adapting aluminum servo wheels...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Being that bolt hole offset is only about 2.5mm from respective centers why couldn't you just fill the existing holes with epoxy and drill to the DA pattern? Do the same thing to the spinner back plate but use "JB weld" instead of epoxy. I know many would rather not but it really wont weaken the...

    Cool Hangin’ in the Hangar

That's a very nice piece. Might have to take it home instead of the bath towels :sneaky:.

Yes just a few odds and ends to do but the "IT department" says they won't be able to get it air worthy until the end of March :do_not_know:. But not to worry. I will be instructing the Alien Extras new owner for the next few trips out. So I guess I have a radio after all .

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Spent the last two days being a shop mechanic. Made a custom prop drive hub and steel prop washer. Now that all the mechanical is done, just a few more evenings playing electrician and carpenter, it will be ready for the IT portion of the assembly o_O. One thing that has really impressed me...

    GP 76 twin gas engine

Well I am certainly looking forward to the release. Don't really mind if it takes a few months. After all my "go fund me account" needs a good bit of time as well .

Can you piece any of the damaged wood ( That was forward of the tail section ) back together in order to give you a template or make a template ?

Yes it is. I also widened the forks a bit and stuck a nice 1.5" rubber wheel on with a brass bushing. Spins like a top. The way the plane stance is improved should help the ground handling. Going to start mounting the engine and canister. Once they are properly set I can open up the bottom cover...

Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

If your going to mount the wing like the Sig Cub then why don't add some 3/16" round steel rod bent to shape and attached to the fuse sides like the Sig Cub then. Hate it when a wing detaches in mid flight :big_yes:

Well snoop's I have been busy cutting parts by hand to facilitate throttle servo, canister, fuel dot installation and fuse bottom access cover. I will get busy making a tail wheel shim too. You put a "Bug in my ear" and boy now it's really "bugging" me :concern:. lol

    Cool Hangin’ in the Hangar

Here is one of my all time favorite military jets. I think I must have assembled and painted dozens of the Monogram kits as a kid. Convair had some really remarkable aircraft of the time. And to the best of my knowledge they actually did studies and feasibility test's of nuclear aircraft...

It is not the original tail wheel that came with the airframe. That tail wheel is on the Alien Extra. The tail wheel I installed is a "generic" CF I made from my parts bin. I think it will work fine. I guess I could shim it up a bit if it does hit the rudder.

Although not "frozen solid" it has been very chilly down here too making for some good shop time. Got the rudder epoxied in and the pull pull system set up. Also made a tank tray / thermal block to divert heat off of the canister. Will soon be addressing the engine /canister installation :).
