    Yippee! What the postman brought

I finally tested out the new AS3000 on the Alien Extra before I sold it. Yes you can make gain setting "default" adjustments with the forward programming feature via transmitter but that's all. You can program the transmitter to use the rotary knob to adjust gain to the max set value (default)...

The "switchless" flight system is coming along nicely. Got the batteries where I want them. The leads from the batteries were a bit short so last night I made a pair of short block extensions from male and female XT60 connectors. Very easy to get at and grip to unplug.

With all the "Electric Buzz" going around my half witted mind came up with a new Idea for a gasser....:ooh?:. With Pilots new "Quick Release" Canopy system I decided to go "Switchless" o_O. I made a removeable flight control board and "bused" power to "everything". Two 2S 2000mah Lipo's will...

I first tried my 78" Pilot Extra 330sc as a 12S. It weighed almost 17 pounds! The new fuse I have for it is very light and I bet it could be made to weigh 14.5/15 pounds as an electric. I'm still putting the modified DL50 back on it though. Hoping for 14.5-15.5 pound weight. Should...

    GP 76 twin gas engine

IMHO I think it will be slightly more powerful than the DA70. Maybe turn a 26" prop vice a 24" or 25". The EME and RCGF 70's are more comparable to a good 60 single IMO. And being I ran 3W during my younger days the 3W 85 B2 I had easily ripped a 26 x 8 wood Menz prop but weighed almost as much...

I’m going out flying thread 2019

Not cold but pretty chilly for down here too. Supposed to warm up a bit so it can RAIN this weekend :ugh:. Don't know why I should be concerned. Unless I can squint and tense up really hard and fart out a 2.4ghz signal it just not going to happen :sorry:

    PAU Ultimate assembly

It's mainly older ARF's that one could pick apart. I know one thing. I'm done buying "discount" ARF's and expecting stellar flight performance. And the top shelf ARF's (EF, 3DHS, Pilot, PAU, AJ Aircraft) are all now following a trend of strong, light, CF reinforced construction / airframes. But...

Just a couple of shots with LG on. All my old parts fit this fuse PERFECT. What a nice surprise for waiting forever to get it and open it up. Good things really do come to those that wait :D

    Scale Don Smith P-51 Mustang

I do like that too! And the yellow and black will make a nice contrast so you can see it. My buddy Derek is wanting to re-cover his Top Flight P-51 with some yellow so he can see it better. Going to show him the "Go Buggy" scheme.
