    That's a good point. A lot of airframes have soft ply in the motor box. That's why I use blind nuts and back it with a nylon lock nut when mounting engines.

    Does not take long even when deliberately taking time to assemble. Looking as if that "dirt nap" never happened :big-grin:. One thing I am doing different though. Using 3mm hex head servo horn screws and 3mm x 26mm stainless hex head screws for LG, wing attachment and motor mount. Supplied...

    Since I have a bit of time (before my radio arrives) I am taking my time getting the CAP 232 EX assembled. Got the guts better organized and the two remote Rx's installed. Lots of room for easy battery change outs. Painted the spinner and cowl front to "clone" my dearly departed :ooh?:.

    Put one of those high quality sound systems in it and it will purrrrr better than a gasser and sound awesome in the air :yesss:.

    Will do. Another feature I like is all the switches have rubber boots on them. The colored limited editions also come with a tempered glass screen protector and a cool ball cap. And the gimbals are "fully" adjustable like other high end radios.

    For what it's worth. The new generation of 70mm, 80mm, 90mm, 105mm EDF's seem to do pretty good off of grass. And my Avanti S even cuts through fairly tall grass. And you don't need very long run ways. But they are nice to have and asphalt is the icing on the cake :D.

    Won't have "my thumbs on it" until the end of March. And of course I had to wait for the fuse, wait for a servo too. Seems like whenever I want something good it's going to take awhile :face-palm:. Bottom line.....I don't mind waiting. Gives me something to look forward to and of course top...

    Not teasing. Your doing great trying to make it work. I have seen some poorly cut kits before but it looks like your having to mod the width's of the formers as well as the stringer cut outs not lining up correctly. Your a more patient man than I am ;).

    Post man left a package of extensions yesterday. Last items needed for the 78" Extra but I get the "feeling" something is still missing :confused:. Can't quite put my thumb's on it.....

    It also helps protect against flutter. I use the "Blenderm" or DuBro hinge tape. I like the "Easy" button these days :D.

    Thanks for sharing. And thanks for a bit of clarity.....76cc. I actually tried to search GP's site with no results. Fergus Lin's FB page is where I heard of the rumor (through my spies lol) but I no longer participate on FB.

    Heard it through the grape vine that GP will be introducing a couple of new engines this year. Particularly a 76cc twin to compete for a home in the newer 92+ inch class airframes. I am hoping all the engine lovers will help shed some tangent evidence of this speculation. I think I would just...
