Still deciding if I am going to get all the parts I would need and custom paint them or just get a complete new one. The cost of all the parts needed is about 360.00. A new one right now is 425.00 plus free shipping. Leaning towards a new one.

    Enya 120-4C Bearings

The bearings from BOCA are sealed and lubricated. You do not need to remove the shields. The cam gears and bushings get lubricated from blow by oil as snoops described. The camshaft drive ball bearing in the rear (driven by the crank pin) can remain sealed as well if you also got that particular...

Yep!:) And it looks as if it won't be until after the New Year before the decent flying weather shows up again down here in LA. Very windy today and RAIN a coming for the next week solid. New Year going to be a bit soggy :ooh?:.

:) ….. :concern: ….. :( And testament that the wood sub structure makes them really strong. Impact was so hard it snapped the CF wing tube in half but the wings are still in one piece. Only damage was the attachment former glued to the left wing popped out. Excuses or not I GOT to have me...

Started the "Recovery" process on my Cap232EX :ugh:. At least all the power system components and flight control components were unscathed. The elevator servo arm came off when the screw backed out just as I was powering up in a dive to do a parachute. Really caught me off guard and I did not...

    Awesome Video Thread

I have just come to a point of belief that it has nothing to do with the plane or what's inside. That young man defies any sense of reasoning on how it's done. I truly think if you could RC up a trash can lid Jase would make it fly as we all stared in awe.

Totally agree. If they would have made the IX a DX-12 I would have jumped all over it.

Usually this time of year there are several really nice days to get the wheels up. But this year has been a strange one weather wise. 6 months of summer and jump right in to winter conditions. Been really "Alien" to me :p. It clouded up today and is getting ready to rain for Christmas eve...

The G2 DX-8. Best 8 channel radio I have ever had. You get a lot for a little. Me Like :). Been thinking if I where to upgrade it would be the DX-9 for that 9th channel. Otherwise the two are pretty much the same.

Played with the radio again tonight. Unfortunately all the data the AS3000 flight system displays only shows up when the Rx is powered up and any values recorded will only be shown "prior" to shutting off the Tx after a flight is performed. Most data like rate of climb, altitude and G-force is...

Some more action from yesterday....My buddies p-51 and custom scratch built 92" Laser. Both DLE 55RA for power. The Mustang was really getting the mail hauled :on_the_go:. Easily 90+ mph! And rippin' the prop!

It was just about as good of weather one could ask for today (Sunny, Wind light and variable, nice cool 60 degrees) so I load up the Alien in my beater 92 F-150 and guess what? o_O…. Engine would not crank :face-palm:. So after watching a good hour and a half of my flying time fade away I...

Yes I have used dope. It does help keep covering down. Apply just a couple of light coats. Balsa Right conditioner works equally well.

So here is the answer to my question....NO :(. But :)….The AR636A Rx that came installed in my Timber did have a firmware update enabling flight log and SAFE select operation. And yes you can also plug in one additional DSMX remote for redundancy. You can also reprogram/change settings or load...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Just to the right of the antennae exits on the right side. It's a 5 pin micro JST connection. The USB programmer cable has a traditional 3 pin "servo connector" that plugs in to the Rx's bind port. This is only needed for software/firmware updates on telemetry Rx's or AS3X Rx's. Now the question...
