And that's exactly how we got it started both times. As soon as we gave up, stopped flipping, and bad mouthed it for a while, it started right away after that. :oblong:

I took the old Pilot Edge with the GP61 out yesterday. I hadn't flown it since last September. The first start of the day has never been a picnic with the GP and yesterday was no exception. It takes forever to get it to pop on the choke, but normally after that it starts fairly well. Yesterday...

Help! Anyone own the 104" AJ Slick?

My sister lived in Coco Beach. We stayed with her there 2 years in a row in June and it rained everyday at 3:30.

That's the 120 inch one? Moki 250, but the cost is hard to swallow. Other than that one of the big four cylinders, DA200 DLE222 or a big 3W. The ZDZ 180 twin is a powerhouse and getting popular. Lots of choices.

Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

The one on the big Sukhoi is a DA dot and the one on the Extra is a 3w screw on cap. Note the brand mixing on my Extra.;)

I've been doing a little more drawing on the Culp plan. Lots more to do and many, many tweeks to make.

Pilot 40% 330 Recover and Build

The DA dot is a bit easier to use than the 3W one with the screw on cap. I customized my fuel probe to fit in the 3W dot so I didn't need to use a small piece of hose between them. The DA dot is simpler, but there both pretty cool.

I probably could have had the field to myself today too. Winds at 18 before the gusts will do that.;)

I've wanted a biplane for a long time, but thought the field assembly would suck, so I've never had a gas one. But after flying my 35% Extra that I have to take the stabs off to transport I figure a biplane can't be that much worse to assemble at the field.

Well there was Sister Constantsha or "Cantstandya" as we called her, she had one of those 18" long triangular rules with the metal edges and knew how to use it. Ah, Catholic school in the late 60's. Brings back painful memories. ;)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

As some of you know, last year I was trying to decide what to build for a winter time project and I just couldn't make up my mind. Well, I'm back at it again.:oblong: I've been spending some time working on a new plan for a 50cc Culp Special. Will I actually finish the plan? Will I ever build...
