Haha!!! Kinda wish I hadn't sold that Beast.....it was pretty though! @Snoopy1 ....it's a vinyl graphic. Was available from BandE Graphics.....not sure if it still is? You could select from several diameters, then trim for exact fit.- Pistolera

Oh....and on the baffling I made mine from thin aluminum.....two pieces (top & bottom). They bolt to the cowl across the front cutouts. Once the graphics were on those screws disappeared...!- Pistolera

Hard to beat that B&E Graphics Pratt& Whitney radial!!! On the scoop....I cut two crosswise slots on the back of mine so the air essentially just flows thru it. You can just make out the rearmost one in this pic. The rectangular opening behind the scoop is for the exhaust. BTW - I like the...- Pistolera

Yeah....Shelby doesn't like to miss any of the excitement :) Got the Ole Powerhouse DL50 ;) mounted up. This is the better of the two cowlings I had....which was the one that went into the trees. Canopy is from my first SHP. So glad I hung onto all these pieces thru the years. Although...- Pistolera

Resurrecting an Old Favorite - 3DHS 87" Extra SHP
I think the fuse is pretty much done and ready to cover. Sheeted the bottom sides and made a hatch cover for the can tunnel. Some minor work needed on the canopy latch tabs and rudder. Need to make a new cowl ring, mount the engine and get the cowling lined up, glued and mounted.- Pistolera

See post #7....pulse line from carb to manifold cracked and broke (old tubing). The resulting landing in the hay field was not the greatest, but busted up the fuse way more that I expected. That plane didn't fly very well in my opinion, so I figured if I'm gonna put time into a resurrection...- Pistolera

Top 1/2 of the fuse is done! Straight as I can get it and seems stiff and strong. I may swiss-cheese the sides some more if I get bored....or let Shelby chew on it! I cut the canister mount outta the Aerobeez Edge (Hint....it will never fly again) and installed it in the Extra. Working on...- Pistolera

Cut out some 1/16 birch ply gussets for the top sides of the interior fuse. They box in the motobox structure with the exterior ply and really add a ton of stiffness and strength to the structure. CF wing tube sleeve...Hysol'd in and alignment is near perfect with the stab tube. One mistake I made was to use a section of the old wing tube as the "mandrel" to form up the new sleeve.
