Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

I think the match will get better when you clear it. Mine sure changed when I got the clear on. I couldn't be happier with how good of a match it turned out to be.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Ok @Snoopy1 and @stangflyer and anyone else, here is my experience painting the parts for my viper with Wings West RC paint. I didn't get the aerosol cans from them, just the bottles of 2k primer and paint. I did get the aerosol 2k clear from them. I used the accuspray gun from 3M to paint...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Things are finally slowing down a little bit with work. I have not got to painting yet, but with that being said I am planning on starting today. I am thinking about doing a little write up of how I go about it. I am not very good at things like that, but I can give it a try. Now I need to go...

I got all the hinging done on the Viper. I am glad that is out of the way! Very time consuming and kinda messy, even when you try to be as careful as you can.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Well I finally had some time to work on the Viper tonight. The last month has been really crazy with work, and some other things that have been taking all my time. I got my wing bolts in the mail today, so I was able to get them installed tonight. I drilled and tapped the holes for the threaded...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

The weather sure has made a turn here. It was almost 70 F out, and almost no wind. I was able to get out and fly for the first time in 2017! :D Was a bit rusty, haven't flown for over 3 months. It sure was a lot of fun!

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

Not usually here in Kansas. We had a really bad ice storm back in 2006 was a lot worse than now, but we haven't had any since than till now.

This is what we are dealing with. About a 1/2" to 3/4" ice on everything. Knocked out power, it is going to be a day or so before we will get it back.

No I haven't got the Viper done yet. It is close, but ya work has been kicking my butt. I haven't worked on the plane for several weeks, and don't see it working for several weeks yet :concern: I have another non airplane related project for a good friend of mine that will be taking up all my...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I made them removable. I put hard points in the ends of the wings, tapped threads in the hard points and hardened them with thin foam safe ca. 4-40 or 6-32 screw (can't remember which one I used) with a bonded washer to attach it with. I thought about putting a threaded insert in, but I'm going...

Doing great! I haven't been able to paint yet:concern: I have got real busy with work and just haven't had the time to paint. I didn't get the spray cans, I have a HVLP setup anyway. It kinda depends on how many colors you have in your scheme, but you will probly need two to do the cowl. Are you...

I got all my paint from Wings West RC. They have just about any color for monocote or ultracote. They also have primers and clears. http://www.wingswestrc.com/ Here is a video about their paint. On the cowl I'm going to also cut out on each corner beside the main cutout in the back for those...

I've got the covering done. It's ready for paint. I'm hoping to get to that in the next few weeks. Not sure if that will happen or not. After the paint is done, it's ready to get stuffed with all the goodies that make it fly.:D
