Second post: Ok, before coming in to the hospital I couldn’t help resist getting some shots of the bird out in My backyard flying field. I still have motor/ESC installation to do and some other things, but I had to see how she was looking. So far I like the looks of her!

Will do when I get the chance. I painted mine black and adjusted the springs to be lower. They send metal brackets now where the springs attach so the plastic doesn't split like before.

Thanks again for all the help guys! I am sure I will have more questions before all is done, but here is some progress shots. Wiring almost finished. I didn't like how the top access hatch required two bolts (since I am plugging my wings in with dual harness' right behind the hatch opening)...

Are you just plugging those 1800mah packs straight in to the RX or, are you running them through a BEC first? Thanks! -Clint

Thanks again so much for your reply! Ok, I guess I will just keep messing with it. I just never thought it would be this much work and frustration with the Xcub gear to get them to work with the Timber. Cheers! -Clint

@AKNick would you mind posting photos from underneath, medium and closeup of how you mounted your Xcub landing gear? I can't for the life of me figure out how these things mount. NONE of the holes that are there are matching up with my Xcub gear. Super frustraTED! THANKS! -Clint

@AKNick Just finished watching your breezy beach flight with the wing strike. I cringed, but looks like it didn't do too much damage. Hey I'm not sure If I have asked this question here yet or not, but what BEC did you use to power your RX and Servos? Cheers! -Clint
